General NotesBefore opening the cabinet disconnect the mains plug!
Attention: Observe the ESD safety regulations
WiringBefore disconnecting any leads and especially the earth connecting leads observe the way they are routed to the individual assemblies.On completion of the repairs the leads must be laid out as originally fitted at the factory to avoid later failures or disturbances.
Carrying out MeasurementsWhen making measurements on semi-conductors with an oscilloscope, ensure that the test probe is set to 1�:1 dividing factor. If the previous measurement was made on AC input, please note that the coupling capacitor in the oscilloscope will be charged. Discharge via the item being checked can damage the components.
Measured Values and OscillogramsThe measured values given in the circuit diagrams and oscillograms are approximates!
Change of the Main BoardAfter changing the main board all settings in the service mode must be done according to the table "Basic Settings" (point 1 in chapter "Service and Special Functions" on page 1-7).

Allgemeine HinweiseVor dem Öffnen des Gehäuses den Netzstecker ziehen!

LeitungsverlegungBevor Sie die Leitungen und insbesondere die Masseleitungen lösen, muss die Leitungsverlegung zu den einzelnen Baugruppen beachtet werden.Nach erfolgter Reparatur ist es notwendig, die Leitungsführung wieder in den werkseitigen �ustand zu versetzen um evtl. spätere Ausfälle oder Störungen zu vermeiden.
Durchführen von MessungenBei Messungen mit dem Oszilloskop an Halbleitern sollten Sie nur Tastköpfe mit 1�:1 - Teiler verwenden. Außerdem ist zu beachten, dass nach vorheriger Messung mit AC-Kopplung der Koppelkondensator des Oszilloskops aufgeladen sein kann. Durch die Entladung über das Messobjekt können Bauteile beschädigt werden.
Messwerte und OszillogrammeBei den in den Schaltplänen und Oszillogrammen angegebenen Messwerten handelt es sich um Näherungswerte!
Austausch der HauptplatteNach Austausch der Hauptplatte müssen alle Einstellungen im Service Mode nach Tabelle "Grundeinstellwerte" (Punkt 1 im Kapitel "Service- und Sonderfunktionen" auf Seite 1-7) eingestellt werden.

Je nach Verfügbarkeit werden Dis-plays verschiedener Hersteller ein-gebaut. Dies führt zu unterschiedli-chen Chassis-Bestückungen, sowiezu Änderungen in der Software. BeiErsatzteilbestellungen und Soft-ware-Updates achten Sie bitte aufdas eingebaute Display, sowie aufden "Product Code". Angaben dazufinden Sie auf der Geräterückseite.Sollte in der Ersatzteilliste des Ser-vice Manuals eine Display-Variantenicht aufgeführt sein, können Sieeine aktualisierte Version auf demGRUNDIG Service-Portal "http://service.grundig.de" finden.
Überprüfen Sie vor Austausch derHauptplatte, ob die Aufkleber derPlatinen identisch sind.
Display and Product Code
Depending on availability displaysof different manufacturer are builtin. This results in different chassismountings as well as a differentsoftware. On spare parts orders aswell as software updates take careof the fitted display as well as of the"Product Code". Therefore you canfind information on the labels on therear side. If your "Product Code" ordisplay variant is not mentioned inthe spare parts list of the servicemanual, please look for a vurrentversion at the GRUNDIG serviceportal "http://service.grundig.de".
Before changing the main boardplease check whether the labels onthe boards are identical.

2. Austausch der Hauptplatte oder des IC101Nach dem Austausch der Hauptplatte oder des IC101 sind dieGrundeinstellwerte im Service Mode entsprechend der Tabelle ein-zustellen.
3. Software-VersionsnummerDie Software-Versionsnummer wird unten im Service-Menü ange-zeigt, z.B.:

4. Programmsuchlauf– Taste "MENU" (INFO) drücken.– "SUCHEN / ABSTIMMUNG" mit den Tasten + P / P – anwählen
und mit der Taste "OK" bestätigen.– "PROGRAMMSUCHLAUF" mit den Tasten + P / P – anwählen und
mit der Taste "OK" bestätigen.– Gewünschtes Land mit den Tasten + P / P – , + VOL / VOL – aus-
wählen und mit der Taste "OK" bestätigen.Das automatische Sendersuchsystem stoppt bei jedem emp-fangswürdigen Sender (AFC und Koinzidenz) und speichert auto-matisch die entsprechenden Senderdaten mit dem jeweiligenStandard. Danach wird der Suchlauf fortgesetzt.
Zum Abbrechen des Suchlaufes die Taste "MENU" drücken.
5. Hotel-ModeBei aktivierter Funktion ist die maximale Lautstärke begrenzt unddie Programmtabelle und Installation sind im MAIN MENU nichtmehr anwählbar. Aufruf: MENU –> "9301" –> + P / P – "OPTION 2" –> "OK" –>+ P / P – "HOTEL MODE" –> + VOL / VOL – "ON". Maximale Lautstärke: MENU –> "9301" –> + P / P – "OPTION 2" –>"OK" –> + P / P – "HOTEL MODE VOLUME" –> + VOL / VOL – Wert0…63.
2. Change of the Main Board or IC101After changing the Main Board or IC101 all basic settings in the ser-vice mode must be done according to the table.
3. Software Version NumberThe software version number is shown on the down part of the ser-vice menu, e.g.:

4. Programme Search– Press button "MENU" (MAIN MENU).– Select "SETUP" with the buttons + P / P – and confirm with button
"OK".– Select "AUTOPROGRAM" with the buttons + P / P – and confirm
with button "OK".– Select the required Country with the buttons + P / P –, + VOL /
VOL – and confirm with button "OK".The autoprogrammes system stops at every station of acceptablereception quality (AFC and coincidence) and stores the stationdata and the respective standard automatically. The system thencontinues searching.
Pressing the "MENU" button stops the programme search.
5. Hotel ModeMaximum volume is limited and there is no access to "Preset List"and "Setup" at activated hotel mode.Call up: MENU –> "9301" –> + P / P – "OPTION 2" –> "OK" –>+ P / P – "HOTEL MODE" –> + VOL / VOL – "ON". Maximum volume: MENU –> "9301" –> + P / P – "OPTION 2" –>"OK" –> + P / P – "HOTEL MODE VOLUME" –> + VOL / VOL – Wert0…63.
