What makes a good
application?• A clear and concise introduction that justifies the
need for the project
• Appropriate aims and hypotheses that are clearly linked to the target / priority areas of the Scheme
• A well designed research project using appropriate methodology and data analysis with detailed sample size justification.
• A diverse project team with the skills and experience required to undertake the research activity, with the role of each team member clearly defined
• An appropriate project timeline with a justified budget that represents value for investment – do not just request the maximum amount of funding allowed!
• A strong, well-thought out dissemination strategy that demonstrates how the results will be used to influence current practice, particularly across Queensland Health
