TRANSPORTATION Car pooling Use a bike, or public transportation as
much as you can, to help save on gas. Purchase a more fuel efficient car. Take a long trip to get all your items
instead of taking a bunch of little ones. Try to reduce the number of flights you
take.
AT SCHOOL Use a Reusable water bottle instead of a
bunch of plastic water bottles. Recycle old papers in stead of throwing
them away. Separate paper and plastic garbage. Photo copy on both sides of the paper
so you don’t waste paper. At the end of each day you can unplug
power strips and make sure the lights are off
Turn off unnecessary air conditioning system or heating system when no one’s there.
AT HOME Use more efficient light bulbs Completely full loads of wash to save
water Buy organic or local foods Turn things off when not in use Lower indoor heating and cooling by one
degree. Plant a tree Use a canvas bag when grocery
shopping, instead of paper or plastic. Use recycled wood chips.
