Human Asset Development – Defined
• People in our community• Recognizing the potential of people moving in or out
• Sense of community• Safe environment, educational opportunities, small-
town atmosphere
• Ability to fulfill life goals and aspirations• Personal and professional growth
• Opportunities for recreation and socialization• Community and social organizations
Identified Problems
• Youth leave for college, but do not return to their hometowns
• Lack of knowledge of the opportunities available in Waupaca County
• Lack of modern communication (i.e. social networking)
Mission Statement
Unite a network based community by attracting, developing, and retaining
valuable people.
Goals
• Attract opportunities for young professionals • Utilize natural resources for tourism• Identify locations where organizations,
coworkers, and peers can meet • Connect Waupaca County to social media–
recreationally and professionally

Problem
• There are many beautiful natural resources areas in Waupaca County that are not utilized by residents.
• Information about these areas is difficult to find for current and new residents.
History
• There are many areas with historical significance. Some education or background on their history would make them more popular.
• Ex. The Ice Age Trail
Our Proposal
• Increased promotion within the communities in Waupaca county
• Educate about historical and environmental aspects through field trips for school children
• Tourism board actively promoting online
Social Networking
• Lack of modern communication• Ability to connect with younger generations• More reliance on technology
• Word of mouth, but online • In the process of social networking we want to
enhance personal connections
