Short term memory
Longer lived than sensory memory
Lives several seconds
With rehearsal lives longer

Genetic memory
• A big influencer
• Fobia , Talent, even diseases can pass down from ancestors

• A Nature Neuroscience study, 2013 shows mice trained to avoid a smell passed their aversion on to their “grandchildren".
• The study was done at Emory University School of Medicine
• The results were important for phobia and anxiety research.
• The animals were trained to fear a smell similar to cherry blossom.
• Mice's offsprings and their offsprings were "extremely sensitive" to cherry blossom and would avoid the scent, despite never having experienced it in their lives.
• Changes in brain structure were also found.

• Known as “Megasavant”Diagnosed with FG Syndrome Linked to X chromosome abnormalityCausing low muscle tone and large headCool example of brain’s plasticityHe could read with both eyes separately in
3secCould remember 98% of what he read
