Hymn: More Voices 150
Spirit God, Be Our Breath
Spirit God, Be Our Breath
Spirit God: be our breath, be our song.
Blow through us,
bringing strength to move on.
Our world seems inward,
defensive, withdrawn…
Spirit God, be our song.
Patient God: soothe our pride,
calm our fear.
Comfort us. When we know you are near
We grow more certain, our vision is clear.
Patient God, calm our fear.
Loving God: be our voice, be our prayer.
Reaching out, joining hands as we share,
We seek your guidance
through friendship and care.
Loving God, be our prayer.
Spirit God: be our breath, be our song.
Blow through us,
bringing strength to move on.
Through change, through challenge,
we’ll greet the new dawn…
Spirit God, be our song.
Hymn: More Voices 4
All Who Are Thirsty
All Who Are Thirsty
All who are thirsty,
All who are weak,
Come to the fountain.
Dip your heart in the stream of life.
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
in the waves of his mercy
As deep cries out to deep.
We sing...
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
All who are thirsty,
All who are weak,
Come to the fountain.
Dip your heart in the stream of life.
Let the pain and the sorrow
Be washed away
in the waves of his mercy
As deep cries out to deep.
We sing...
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Come, Lord Jesus, come.
Holy Spirit come.
Holy Spirit come.
Holy Spirit come.
Holy Spirit come.
As deep cries come.
Leader: As we gather together,
we come to this one place;
People: Where our journeys overlap
and where our week begins,
we find rest.
Leader: Come, as we make God the focus
of our Sabbath. Come as the
lessons bring us our
guidance. Come, as we sing,
pray, praise, repent and
forgive.
People: We come with a song in our
hearts, and a prayer to
receive the abundance of our
creator.
Leader: Let us celebrate the presence
as we worship.
Like a Rock
Like a rock, like a rock,
God is under our feet.
Like the starry night sky
God is over our head.
Like the sun on the horizon
God is ever before.
Like the river runs to ocean,
Our home is in God evermore.
Come Holy Spirit
(Stephen Spencer)
Come Holy Spirit.
Sanctify this place.
Shine your light upon us.
Fill us with your grace.
Make us disciples of your living word.
Come Holy Spirit. Come. (Repeat)
All: Giver of all life, you walk with us
through our days. We come to you to
take time from our full schedules and
day to day routines. We come to
worship, praise and give thanks for
the lives that we have been graciously
given.
We come to find the quiet centre. Help us
to hear the message of your faithfulness,
and to celebrate the ways in which you
help us to cope with challenges each day.
Surround us with your presence, your love
and your grace. Amen.
Come Holy Spirit.
Sanctify this place.
Shine your light upon us.
Fill us with your grace.
Make us disciples of your living word.
Come Holy Spirit. Come.

Time to Be
Hymn: VU 672
Take Time to Be Holy
Take Time to Be Holy
Take time to be holy, speak oft with you Lord;
Abide in him always, and feed on his word.
Make friends of God’s children,
help those who are weak;
Forgetting in nothing his blessing to seek.
Take time to be holy, let him be your guide;
And run not before him, whatever betide;
In joy or in sorrow, still follow the Lord,
And, looking to Jesus, still trust in his word.
Take time to be holy, be calm in your soul;
Each thought and each motive
beneath his control.
Thus led by his Spirit to fountains of love,
You soon shall be fitted for service above.

Hymn: More Voices 139
True Faith Needs No Defence
True Faith Needs No Defence
True faith needs no defence,
It echoes in the soul;
A faithful life gives evidence
Of grace that makes us whole.
True faith, like music, soars
Beyond cathedral walls;
On city streets and ocean shores,
From age to age faith calls.
Expect your faith to grow;
Begin by being still,
And in the quiet come to know
God’s living, breathing will.
To live the faith we find,
Is all that love can ask;
To sing God’s praise with heart and mind,
And rise to meet the task.

Hymn: VU374
Come and Find the Quiet Centre
Come and Find the Quiet Centre
Come and find the quiet centre
In the crowded life we lead,
Find the room for hope to enter,
Find the frame where we are freed:
Clear the chaos and the clutter,
Clear our eyes, that we can see
All the things that really matter,
Be at peace, and simply be.
Silence is a friend who claims us,
Cools the heat and slows the pace,
God it is who speaks and names us,
Knows our being, face to face,
Making space within our thinking,
Lifting shades to show the sun,
Raising courage when we’re shrinking,
Finding scope for faith begun.
In the spirit let us travel,
Open to each other’s pain,
Let our loves and fears unravel,
Celebrate the space we gain:
There’s a place for deepest dreaming,
There’s a time for heart to care,
In the Spirit’s lively scheming
There is always room to spare!
Benediction
Wherever You May Go
Wherever you may go, I will follow,
And your people shall be my people too.
Wherever you may go, I will follow,
For I would be faithful, loyal and true.
From beginning to the end
I will always be your friend,
When you need me, I’ll be there,
You can trust my faithful care.
Wherever you may go, I will follow,
And your people shall be my people too.
Wherever you may go, I will follow,
For I would be faithful, loyal and true.
