IEC TC 88 and IECRE WE_OMC meetings

The IEC TC 88 and IECRE WE-OMC meetings will be held at the NREL main campus at 15013 Denver West Parkway, Golden, CO, 80401. (http://www.nrel.gov/about/golden.html) (Thus not at the National Wind Technology Center which is located near Boulder, CO). The meeting rooms will be in the Research Support facility (RSF) and The Energy Systems Integration Facility (ESIF), meeting room details and directions to them will be made available at a later time.

Transportation
We recommend that you fly into Denver International Airport (DEN).

Taxis:
Taxis are available for transportation. The fare from Denver international airport to NREL is about $95 which includes a $4.15 airport access fee.
NREL is accessible via bus on the RTD route 20 from Aurora and Denver. Route 20 travels along 20th Avenue and ends at the NREL Education Center. Visit the RTD Web site or call 303-299-6000 to plan your trip or for more information.
Directions by car:
From Denver International Airport, to the Denver Marriott West Hotel: Total distance is about 33.1miles.
Departing DIA continue straight onto Pena Blvd for about 10 miles. Merge onto 1-70 West. Take exit 263 for Denver W towards Colorado Mills Pkwy. Keep right at the fork, follow signs for Denver Marriott West Blvd and merge onto Denver W Blvd/Denver West-Marriott Blvd. Turn left onto Denver W Pkwy. Turn left and you have reached your destination.

High Altitude Tips
Before traveling to NREL, please remember that the lab is located at a high altitude with varying weather conditions and plan accordingly. See high altitude tips on VISIT Denver, the travel and visitor website.
Access procedures
Visitors are required to show government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID). Upon arrival to NREL's South Table Mountain site, visitors are to drive up to the East Site Entrance Building window where Security staff will confirm they are on the expected visitor list. Visitors will receive a parking placard and should park in the Research Support Facility (RSF) Visitor Parking Lot.
Visitors will then enter the RSF lobby where their identification will be checked and a visitor badge provided. NREL hosts will meet their visitors at the RSF or at another NREL building. Security staff will arrange for shuttle transportation from the RSF, if needed.
Foreign nationals
As a federal facility the Department of Energy requires foreign national visitors to fill out a foreign national data card prior to their visit. This form is included on the meeting registration page. Foreign national visitors are requested to fill out items 1 through 18 (NREL will complete items 19-38) and should be returned to Beverly Cisneros by March 1, 2017. Failing to submit this form will result in being denied access to the facility. Note that foreign nationals are defined as anybody who is not a US citizen (and thus includes Permanent Resident Aliens (aka green card holders)).
