The MBSS Disaster Recovery team will examine the budgetary considerations, next steps, and timeline for the overall DR solution.
Recap on Disaster RecoveryObjective of Disaster Recovery (DR) team is to develop a consolidated solution for MBSS systems that is driven by business requirements
• Recommended DR approach represents a consolidated solution for all business and IT requirements across core systems (i.e., Argus, PfAST, Cyclone, & DIDE II) – Respective application business and technical teams have agreed to the DR recommendations
• Solution leverages internal disaster recovery service offerings – Leveraging internal resources reduces costs and provides faster recovery times
• Solution utilizes a combination of data centers to minimize impact of disaster – Argus & DIDE II DR servers will be located in Location X – PfAST & Cyclone DR servers will be located in Location Y – Disaster at either site means only half of applications need to be recovered
• SRM will plan, procure, implement and test DR solutions for PfAST, DIDE II, and Argus – MBSS DR team is currently reviewing Impact Technology’s Statement of Works (SOWs) for Argus and DIDE II – PGM will perform these activities for Cyclone since it is a shared resource – PfAST will not have a DR solution for the next 12 months
