2. Func]ionare

Maşina de curăţat boabe se fixează pe un suport prin intermediul a două şuruburi cu piuliţă. Pentru utilizarea la randament maxim, este necesar ca acţionarea să fie făcută de un motor cu putere nominală de minimum 1,8 kW la 3.000 rotaţii / minut, iar diametrul maxim al fuliei motorului trebuie să fie de 65 mm.

Alimentarea maşinii se face manual, ştiulete după ştiulete - de regulă introdus cu vârful în jos, la un interval de 3 ÷ 4 secunde - prin gura de alimentare . Ştiuletele este preluat de roata de curăţire,elementul de antrenare şi elementul de presare, care îi dau o mişcare de avans în spirală, totodată desprinzând boabele de pe cocean. Pentru ca operaţia de curăţare a boabelor să fie cât mai completă, ştiuleţii trebuie să fie bine uscaţi.
