AIMIncrease the membership of the Association with an emphasis on female
participation, diversity and inclusion. Focus on the marketing andpromotion of judo to open up the sport to a wider audience.
Participation
OBJECTIVESIntroduce a Volunteer Membership status.
Develop and encourage participation amongst women in all elements ofjudo. Increase participation of players, coaches, referees, competitionofficials, Club, Provincial and National administrators.
Administer a campaign through the IJA social media, website and at nationalevents to demonstrate the IJA’s support for inclusion and diversity in sportand society.
Organise and provide Randori for members at Provincial and National level.
Formation of Kata Commission.
Develop a link between the IJA and Special Olympics Ireland.
Provide a pathway to enable visually impaired (VI) players compete at theirrespective level.
Review and improve marketing and promotion of judo in Ireland and withinthe IJA by developing and updating the IJA website and social mediaplatforms. Develop and produce a Communications Policy and appoint aMarketing Commission.

Club Development

Produce New Club Manual.
Provide Continuous Professional Development(CPD) for club coaches and volunteers.
Provide courses to enable and implement clubcompliance.
Training of IJA members to deliver Sport IrelandSafeguarding 1,2,3 ‘Child Protection/Awareness’courses.

Education
To deliver a Programme of Education to include elementsof judo for Coaching, Refereeing and Officiating
qualifications.
Implementation of Introduction to Coaching award.
Deliver Introduction to Coaching, Level 1 and Level 2 courses.
Increase the number of Coach Developers.
Provision of CPD for IJA coaches and Coach Developers.
Increase the number of National Grading Examiners.
Produce an IJA Referees Handbook.
Host an IJA Referees Conference annually.
IJA Junior Referee qualification is designed and delivered.
A new IJA Competition Official pathway produced and delivered.
Produce IJA Refereeing, Coaching, Kata, Grading and Competition Official’scertificates with regards to CPD.

OBJECTIVES
Implement a competition standard throughout Ireland andexpand the competition calendar.
Publish a calendar of events, with continuousupdates of IJA activity.
Publish an IJA Competition Handbook.
Organise annually the All-Ireland Championships,Irish Open and All - Ireland Schools Championships.
Organise a new competition "The Celtic Challenge"for players from Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Support the Veterans Commission in theorganisation of the Irish Veterans Open.

OBJECTIVES
Develop and implement talent strategies to enable judokaand coaches to effectively operate within the performance
pathway.
Appointment of a Performance Director.
Appointment of a National Squad Manager.
Review and implement the National Squad StrategicPerformance Plan 2021 – 2028.
All National Squad players, coaches andadministrators receive education on Sport IrelandAnti-Doping education.
Anti-Doping education made available to all IJAmembers and clubs through the IJA website.

OBJECTIVES
To review and adapt the Association’s governancerequirements at National, Provincial and Club
administration levels.
Review of IJA Constitution to comply with the SportIreland Governance Code to ensure it is fit for purposefor the association.
IJA Policy documents reviewed and amendedaccordingly.
Review of the Management structure to includegender balance.
Administer the Sport Ireland Club Self-AssessmentFramework for Safeguarding.
