Dear Readers,

In this 2009 RICS Directory you will find contact details of all chartered surveyors inCentral & Eastern Europe as elected until end October 2008.We hope this publication will be useful to anyone seeking the services of a chartered surveyorin this region. It should also prove a useful networking tool for RICS members themselves.If you are seeking the services of a highly qualified professional in the property or constructionsectors in Central & Eastern Europe you should be able to find the person you are looking forin this directory. As you may know, chartered surveyors can deal with a wide range of propertydisciplines, are bound by the same strict code of ethics and adhere to the same high standardsof professionalism.

RICS is developing rapidly across the world. It currently boasts around 90,000 fully qualifiedmembers (those who may use the letters MRICS or FRICS after their names), 17,000 trainees

and 43,000 students studying for RICS accredited degrees worldwide.Our membership growth in continental Europe has been unparalleled due to heavy marketdemand for real estate professionals. In the last year we have grown by over 20% to over3,000 full members, 1,300 trainees and 2,500 students. At the same time high qualificationstandards have been maintained through an exacting Assessment of Professional Competence.Central & Eastern Europe is a key contributor to the international expansion of RICS. Not onlydo we have active RICS National Associations in Poland, Hungary and Czech Republic, wehave also established a National Association in Russia. In a single year the number of charteredsurveyors in Russia has grown from 29 to 80. We have also become active in Romania, runningan APC Final Assessment in Bucharest last year.
