St. Francis just began this with the Kino Border Initiative that was set up to work with one foot on each side of the Mexico border in Nogales, Ari-zona and Nogales, Sonora, Mexico. As a faith-based organization, the KBI strives to respond to the most critical needs by respecting the God-given dignity of the human person and by fostering bi-national solidarity through humanitarian assistance, education and research/advocacy. We have committed to prepare and serve a breakfast every 3rd Friday of the month. We welcome volunteers to join us. A background check is re-quired of the Diocese for our volunteers. This is done online.
