Learning Foundation Paper Piecing Lesson #2
Assembly Instructions PRINT • When printing the PDF, be sure to choose to print with "Actual Size" or scale to
100%. • Check that your pattern printed to size using the 1" test squarePREPARE • Use pages 5 & 6 to plan your colors and to help you label each section of the pattern• Cut out each section leaving a little excess around the dotted 1/4" seam lines. • For sections that span multiple pieces of paper, carefully attach separate pieces
using glue or tape. Cut the margin from one page, and lay it on top of the other part of the section. It is important that you are as precise as possible during this step.
• After piecing each section, use a rotary cutter and ruler to trim the section along the dotted 1/4" seam line.
ASSEMBLE • Carefully assemble the sections in the following order. Be sure the corners and lines
match up exactly using straight pins1. A to B
