Each product bearing the VERLINDE brand is the outcome of production facilities that are constantly improved and adapted to modern design (the most advanced computerisation, surface treatment by shot-peening, machining centres with numerical co-ordinates, automatic oxy-cutting, rotating paint application stands...).
The materials and components used when manufacturing our products are subjected to the most stringent checks. Each product is then tested on the tests bench (bearing the stamp of approval of the most exacting authorities: APAVE, E.D.F., RENAULT, TUV).
Assembly is entrusted to a team of professional to whom over 140 years of experience and
know-how have been handed down. At its production plant in Vernouillet, VERLINDE mass-produces cable, chain, belt electric winches and manual hoisting devices amounting to an annual production capacity of 40,000 electrically powered chain winches, 3000 electric cable winches and 25,000 manually actuatedhoisting devices.

The PHR is a highly reliable unit built entirely in steel.
The gearing mechanism of the PHR has been designed
to require only a minimum effort from the operator for
lifting loads of up to 20 tons.
TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Chain guide casing: protects the actuating handwheel and guides and maintains the chain.
• Hoisting spider: mounted on roller bearings.

The PLV is designed to lift, pull or drag loads. Its has application
in every branch of industry through the ease with which it can
be used and the many services it can provide at all times in
the workshop, on the worksite, ... It is indispensable wherever
space and headroom are at a premium.

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Gearing system. The set of gears for the MA and MB type winches are straight-cut.
• Frame. The MA and MB winches are delivered in galvanised steel as standard equipment. As optional extra, certain type MB winches can be provided in stainless steel. (MB2 INOX 650 kg and MB4 INOX 1000 kg).
• Mounting position. Easy anchoring at 3 or 4 points (depending on the model), set out widely apart, ensuring balanced anchoring. Vertical or horizontal anchoring on MB model, and vertical anchoring on MA model.
• Braking system. The load is held by a brake automatically applied during lifting and lowering operations.
• Unclutchable drum. As option on certain type MB winches (900 and 1350 kg), thanks to a small, readily accessible lever. A safety device automatically prevents unclutching when under load.
• VBG-C1. The MC version is available in VBG-C1.

handling loads of 50 to 1,000 kg with ease, taking
up very little space in an almost circular area.
Practically all the working zones are accessed to the

• The extreme mobility and stability on all surfaces provided by means of four caster wheels (in white polyamide material for loads of up to 2 tons, capped with polyurethene from 3.2 tons, fi tted with ball bearing on the shafts and king pins. These wheels formed from acetyl resin have excellent shock behaviour and ability to withstand attack by chemicals.
• The raceway is a weld-fabricated IPE profi le designed to accommodate a lifting and traversing movement device, with two traversing breast-pieces. The unit is fi nished in RAL 1028 polyurethene lacquer. Fully dismantlable, the VERLINDE independent gantries adapt to your need to make best use of workshop space.
• The gantry is delivered disassembled, together with its galvanised boltwork and takes only little time to assemble and commission.

RReduction gear. 2 types : hoisting and travelling. Several reduction gear techniques are used for hoisting: standard gearing, 2 or 3 helical gears, planetary gearbox etc.
SSafety coeffi cient. This parameter multiplied by the load capacity is used to defi ne the rupture limit of a component. It is generally given for the hoisting chain or rope.Support girders. 2 types : mounted or overhead. STANDARDS AND HOISTING REGULATIONS
CE directive. Since 1st Januar y 1995,the European Machiner y Directive 98/37/ EEC obliges that machine constructors ensure that their machinery complies with certain reglementations, standards, national legislations
and technical specifi cations.
Every VERLINDE product is CE labelled and is delivered with an CE compliance certifi cate (annex IIA) or with an incorporation certifi cate (annex IIB).
FEM : European lifting equipment association.
SWP: A Safe Working Period is calculated for each electrical hoists unit according to the average operating time of the hoisting equipment, load capacity and class of application.After this period,a general service carried out by the constructor is necessary.
Class of operation. According to FEM classifi cation, two fundamental criteria must be taken into account : the type of duty and the class of duty (according to average daily operation time average load).
ISO standard. Classes of operation can also be defi ned according to ISO grouping (1Am =M4,2m =M5,3m =M6,etc.).
Type of duty
> Light service. Equipment rarely subject to maximum load and frequently to very little load.
> Medium service. Equipment quite offen subject to maximum load and frequently to very little load.
> Heavy service. Equipment frequently subject to maximum load and frequently to medium load.
> Very heavy service. equipment frequently subject to maximum or near maximum load.
