The gospel of Jesus Christ is
God’s response to the human
condition.
“You are a lion’s cub, Judah; you return
from the prey, my son…The scepter will
not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s
staff from between his feet, until he to
whom it belongs shall come and the
obedience of the nations shall be his.”
Genesis 49:9-10
When Jesus was born it became clear
to the earliest Christians that he was
the long awaited Lion of the Tribe of
Judah.
Anointed = Christos = Messiah

Lesson #1: We have the great
responsibility to teach our
children who they are and whose
they are.
CLIP #2
Sin nature = Something broken
in us that’s drawn to those things
that can hurt ourselves or hurt
other people or will separate us
from God.
Scar – The dark side.
The evil one. The one
who would draw us
away from God.
Lesson #2: We all struggle with
the dark side.
“Discipline yourselves,
keep alert. Like a roaring
lion your adversary the
devil prowls around,
looking for someone to
devour. Resist him!”
1 Peter 5:8-9a
CLIP #3
Devil = “slanderer”
Satan = “accuser”
There is no place you have gone
that was so far gone that God can’t
redeem you, save you, and deliver
you from your sin and make you
whole and clean and new again.
Hakuna Matata =
“no worries”
CLIP #4
Lesson 3: “Remember who you are!”
You are a child of God. He walks
with you and He loves you and He
wants to have you walk with Him.
And there’s a plan and purpose that
He has for your life.
Lesson #4: Darkness will never
have the final word. Hardship
and pain and suffering and even
death will not have the final word.
“Do not weep! See the Lion of
the tribe of Judah, the Root of
David, has triumphed.”
Revelation 5:5
“He who sits on the throne will
shelter them with His presence.
Never again will they hunger;
never again will they thirst. The
sun will not beat down on them;
nor any scorching heat.
For the Lamb at the center of the
throne will be their shepherd; He
will lead them to springs of living
water; and God will wipe away
every tear from their eyes.”
Revelation 7:15-17
