Sun, Moon and Earth:
Lithuanian tales
Once upon a time, Sun and MOON lived peacefully in
the sky. They had little daughter named Earth.
Once, they had and argument, and divorced.
Sun decided that Earth should stay with her mother, but Moon
disagreed, and said that daughter should stay with father. The judge thunder made a compromise: sun
will watch little Earth in the daylight, and moon will guard her
from dusk till dawn.
From that time, Sun shines only at day, and
the Moon strolls at night.
A forged sunA forged sun
In ancient times, there was a man who worked as a hammersmith. Those times there was darkness everywhere - only
night and night.
The hammersmith decided to forge the sun. He took a brilliant iron, forged forged
and coined over six years.
Then he climbed on the top of the highest farmhouse and threw it into
the sky. Since then, it is shining there.
Sun, wind and rainSun, wind and rain
Once upon the time lived two old men and they had a lot of land. One day they begun to fight
for the fence, separating their gardens. And they started to argue.
One old man, blew the wind, when
he fought with the neighbor. The
other man- sniped water. Then sun
got mad and stopped to shine.
And from now on, when these two – wind and rain start to fight, sun hides under the clouds. So the wind blows and rain begins
to storm out.
