Mark, Register, Immobilize & Educate • Display owner name and contact number on plant & equipment • Create a work site or contractor plant and equipment register • Photo all plant and critical equipment including unique marks • Always use factory fitted security devices when leaving plant and equipment unattended • Immobilize plant and equipment overnight to avoid theft • Educate drivers and operators to promote anti-theft culture

Secure all your plant when not in use • Collect and park plant and equipment together at the end of the working day; • Surround unattended portable equipment with temporary barriers; • Illuminate the most critical or attractive equipment; • Anchor equipment with either chain or cable as a deterrent measure; • Equipment can be immobilized by use of wheel clamps, locks or lowering blades and buckets; • Consider using anti-lifting devices to secure small or portable equipment; • Lock fuel caps and take action to prevent fuel syphoning; • Strictly control vehicles keys; • Conduct daily inspections and report theft or damage immediately.
