By Car/CoachSat Nav Postcode is EX31 4RA. We are on the A39 half way betweenBlackmoor Gate and Lynton. From the M5 turn off at Junction 27 and takethe A361. At South Molton, take the A399 for Lynton and Combe Martin.At Blackmoor Gate, turn right onto the A39 for Lynton. We are about fourmiles from this junction. The station entrance is on the left. Coachparties are advised to call in advance so we can reserve seats foryour party.Parking is all on site and FREE

By BusThe 309 via Shirwell and the 310 via Bratton Fleming operate Monday toSaturday (except public holidays) from Barnstaple Bus Station and stop atWoody Bay Station on their way to Lynton. For the latest bus times andinformation contact South West Traveline 0871 200 22 33.

By RailFrom Exeter take the 'Tarka Line' to Barnstaple. Make your way over theriver bridge to Barnstaple bus station. For train times contact National RailEnquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

Our trains feature restored heritage carriages andcurrently run from Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane- a two-mile round trip through glorious Exmoorcountryside.

• Your tickets allow you to ride all day.• Keep your ticket and you can travel half-price as frequently as you wish for the next 28 days.

The railway is owned by a Charitable Trust and is run"not for profit", with most key roles undertaken byvolunteers.

We are funded mainly by our visitors and through thegenerosity of our members and supporters. All isreinvested in the railway for future generations to enjoy.

Your much-appreciated support is essential, contributingas it does towards our aim of rebuilding all of the railwaybefore too long.

More than a train rideThis is the UK's earliest-closed section of railway to bereopened by volunteers and is the first stage in rebuildingthis much-loved railway that once ran between Lyntonand Barnstaple.

Enjoy the enchanting atmosphere of Woody Bay Station.We charge no entrance fee; car-parking and access tothe station area including the toilets is also free as areour tea gardens, lawns, picnic area, platforms andwoodland area. Stay as long as you like in ourgardens/picnic area or the peaceful woodland and enjoythe magnificent scenery of the Exmoor countryside.

Why not try your hand at our computer quiz located inthe stable or ride our miniature railway which operateson selected days.

Our Tea Rooms offer a variety of meals and light-bites.Enjoy a freshly-made sandwich or piece of cake. Savoura taste of Devon with our cream teas of local clottedcream, super strawberry jam and our special home-baked scones. On cooler days warming home-made soupis on offer and our real coal fire will be blazing.

A World First for Exmoor

LYN was one of the original engines built in 1898 byBaldwin’s of Philadelphia, USA and scrapped when theLynton & Barnstaple Railway closed in 1935. A new-buildLYN is now back at Woody Bay Station and completesour own authentic Victorian heritage L&B train. LYN willbe rostered on certain service trains throughout the year.
