THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
MAY 26TH, 2013
SVdP ~ The new direct Helpline Number for St. Vin-cent de Paul Society is 843-224-4592. The parish office no longer channels these requests.
Baptism ~ The next parental prep session will be held at 6:30 pm, Wednesday, June 5th, in Madden Hall. After attending this session, Baptisms may be scheduled during a daily or weekend Mass, as well as outside of Mass at 11am or 7pm on Saturday, or 1pm on Sunday. Please register for the session by con-tacting the parish office. Godparents and grandpar-ents are also welcome. Avoid the need for a babysitter, plan to attend while still pregnant!
Marriage ~ Engaged couples should contact Deacon Jim Walter at [email protected] to set an appointment to begin the process of preparation at least six months prior to the date of marriage.
Miraculous Medal Novena ~ Mondays at 9:45am.
Rosary ~ Fridays at 9:45 am in Our Lady’s Chapel.
Anointing of the Sick and Pastoral Visitation ~ To arrange for a priest, deacon or lay minister to visit a loved one who is sick, homebound, or hospitalized, please contact the parish office. Because of HIPAA policies, a hospital cannot notify the church, so a fami-ly member must take the initiative. Anointing is also offered following Mass. Because of the priest short-age, an immediate response is not always possible, so don’t wait until a crisis!
Cancer Support Group ~ The cancer support group meets the first Friday of each month at 9:30 am. Ses-sions are open to all. Contact Sister Carol.
Centering Prayer Group ~ Centering Prayer will continue on Saturday, June 1st in the Church Com-mons from 10-12. All are invited. Please contact Ber-nie at [email protected] or at 843-259-7644.

General Information
Feast of Corpus Christi
Next weekend, we celebrate the feast of the Holy Eucharist. It is a chance for us to “Give Thanks” for the enduring presence of Christ who promised to be with us in both our communion with God and our communion with one another.
PARISH NEWS
M MASS AND RECEPTION
B ishop David B. Thompson will join us for 5:30 Mass next Sat-
urday June 1st, followed by a parish reception for Msgr. Chet in Mad-den Hall, hosted by the Women’s Club and special events team. All Parishioners are invited to bring their
favorite finger food to share. The Parish will supply the dessert and beverages.
FEAST OF THE HOLY TRINITY
P entecost concludes the Easter Season. The daily lectionary brings us back to Ordinary Time
in its seventh week. For the next two weekends, however, the Church cele-brates foundational aspects of our faith: The Holy Trinity and the Holy Eucha-rist. These feasts provide us with an opportunity to renew our appreciation for the gift of God’s unconditional love - for us and for all humanity.
We believe that God created humanity as an icon, a reflection of the divine image. The Lord breathed into us a share of the one life-giving spirit. Therefore, every breath we take is a gift from God; every decision and action we make is a way of praising and thanking the Lord for all the resources we enjoy from God’s gracious and generous bounty. It is said that “Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved!” May we who pro-fess a Christian faith never cease to marvel at the many diverse ways that the Lord continues to bridge the gap between heaven and earth in remaining one with us in every stage of our life.
The icon above, and on front cover of this bulletin, was originally created by Andrei Rublev (c.1350). It takes as its subject the mysterious story where Abraham receives three visitors as he camps by the oak (terebinth) of Mamre. He serves them a meal. As the conversation progresses, he seems to be talk-ing directly with God, as if these ‘angels’ were in some way a metaphor for the three persons of the Trinity. The composition is essentially a great circle around the table, focusing the attention on the chal-ice-bowl at the center, which reminds the viewer of an altar at Communion.
LET US PRAY:
G od, we praise you: Father all-powerful, Christ the Lord and Savior, Spirit of love. You reveal yourself
in the depths of being, drawing us to share in your life and in your love. One God, three Persons, be ever near to the people formed in your image, close to the world your love brings to life. Glory to you, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end! Amen.

D e C o l o r e s !
W ith a solemn and sacred spirit, we pause to remember and hon-
or the brave men and women in our Armed Forces who gave up their lives for their fellow Americans at home and abroad. Many were young and many
were married, with their loved ones praying for them back home; but they were each fighting to protect the freedom we enjoy when they were called to make the ultimate sacrifice.
L ord, bless our heroes and heroines with Your mer-cy, grace, and peace. Bless also and console their
families and friends. May Your perpetual light shine upon them; and may their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed rest in peace. Amen.

What is T3? The Teen Timeline—or T3—is the teen version of the revolu-tionary Great Adventure Bible Timeline learning system that hundreds of thousands of Catholic adults have used to learn the Bible. Dynamic teen presenter Mark Hart makes the Bible come alive for Catholic teens by unpacking God’s word in a way they can relate to.
The Teen Timeline will: • Reach teens with the truth of God’s Word in an engaging presentation. • Give teens a solid foundation for years of future Bible study. • Paint portraits of some of the great heroes/heroines of the Bible in a fresh, modern context. • Leave your teens laughing, pondering, and desiring to read the Bible on their own!
To register, email Patrick Withers, Director of Youth Ministry at [email protected] Please include name and grade in the email. There is no cost for this program.

Where Do Your Kids Go to Have Fun?
P rotecting children from harm extends beyond the time that they are under your direct supervision. Know
where your children spend their time when school is out or they are not in the house. Where do they gather and play with other kids? Are there other adults in the area? If so, who are they, and what reason do they have to be there? Knowing the answers to these questions will help you to keep your kids safe even when you are not with them.
