All Rolling Stone magazines have the same red masthead on all magazines. The red serif font represents the longevity of the rolling stones magazine as it was founded in 1967 hence the use of the serif font. Even though Rihannas hiding the master head the reader can still acknowledge the magazine.

Rihanna is facing the audience directly intriguing the audience to look at her even though there is only one of her eyes showing

Rihanna is posing in a sweet seductive way as her body is hidden. Rihanna is positioned looking almost over her body and her hair is covering the majority of the shot. She also has minimal makeup on which can show to the reader that she's just like everyone else.

Main cover line makes the audience more appealed to the magazine as it makes the audience question who Rihanna is in love with.

Black text comes from Rihannas Black parts of her hair

Cover lines are in white yet they are still intriguing the reader due to the bold non serif font.

The magazine could be targeted to an older audience (18+) due to the dominant colours used i.e. Black and white . Also the other features and artists that are included in the magazine appeal to an older audience

The magazine masthead is in a bold font which makes it eye catching to the reader. Vibe magazine usually has a red font rather than a yellow font. The change of colour can represent Jhene Aiko as she is a new artist. Also the colour Yellow works well with the background image as it contrasts to show its playfulness.

Jhene Aikos angle of gaze is straight into the reader. The pose is a soft pose which can also relate to her genre of music which is described as being soft. She is looking straight at the reader which can be a way of the magazine making the reader feels as if Jhene aiko is inviting us into finding more about her.

This magazine could be targeted at men as the cover line says is cooler than your girl

Makes the reader more intrigued as is features other artist inside the magazine.

The flowered background is different to the typical VIBE background as it uses the red and pink flowers which can show Jhene Aiko playfulness.

The masthead is one letter making it easy to remember and catch. Also the name of the magazine is blown up and in the left hand side corner in all Q magazines. The Q uses a bold serif font.

Cheryls facial expression is seductive as she is wearing red lipstick and has her tongue sticking out licking a prop. Cheryl is staring right at the audience making them instantly look at her.

The rain also makes Cheryl appear sexy to the reader as Cheryl is still coming across as flawless even in the rain

The image of Cheryl is a close up and shows Cheryls smudged eye make up and red seductive lips. The black clothing that Cheryl is wearing makes her come across as hard rock chick

The block coloured text makes it eye catching to the reader as it highlights what the magazine thinks of Cheryl and what it features. The main cover line takes up the majority of the front cover which shows its superiority. The text is also highlighting Cheryls genre of music

The audience of this magazine would be men ranging from 17+ due to Cheryl's sexy provocative pose.
