For over 25 years local Serra Clubs have hosted what's called
the Vocation Awareness Program or VAP. This event is a weekend
of discernment for young women and men 18 through 40 years old
who think they might have a call to serve God as a priest
or religious order person. The event is set for June 26-28. It takes
place at the University of Dallas in Irving. Priests and religious men
and women consult with attendees to help discern a voca-
tion. See: www.vapinfo.org. If you are interested, the web site tells
you how to proceed. You must apply and be accepted to attend
the program. There is no charge for the live-in weekend. Meals
and lodging are provided free and there is never any commitment
asked or expected.

Help us celebrate and thank our beloved
Preschool Director,
Karen Deal, who is retiring after 25 years of
Loving Leadership at St. Francis Preschool.
While Karen doesn’t like to be in the spotlight, we can’t let
her leave without letting her know how much she has
meant to the parish and the school. Please take the time
to thank her and let her know how she has touched your
life either in person or with a card or letter.
Cards and letters can be sent to Karen
c/o St. Francis 861 Wildwood Ln, Grapevine, TX 76051.
NEW ALD SYSTEM INSTALLED
Do you have trouble hearing clearly
during the Mass?
We now have a new Assisted Listening System for
people who have a hard time understanding all of the
spoken words. If you wish to use a receiver during the
Mass, you can get one from an usher (only ushers will
have access to give them out). You will be asked to
leave your keys while you have the receiver, just to
remind you to return it before you leave. We only
have 4 receivers at this time, so by holding car keys,
we can make sure we always have the 4 available for
each Mass.
