What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product?

• Throughout my time constructing my magazine I have learnt about many different technologies in order to create my magazine from taking photos to editing my full magazine all these technologies used in order to make my magazine a end product.

• What is the process you went through to make your product ?• The processes that I went through was in no way complex. At the beginning when I

was new to creating magazines(student magazine) very little software was used I was because I didn’t really know to work the software’s the image was just posted with the same background as word art fonts rather than using professional fonts and this was because of my lack of knowledge.

• The process that I used for my (music magazine) was done much more professionally and this is because I used software’s such as Photoshop and dafont in order to construct my magazine as well using a professional camera rather than using my phone and this because over time I had developed into using these software's making the end product good.

How have you used a SLR or Bridge Camera ?

• I had used an SLR in the construction of my product. The reason I had used an SLR was for its basic function which was to take pictures, and these pictures were obviously used for my Front Cover, Contents Page and DPS. The vast majority of pictures that I had taken were landscape and this is because majority if the images that I had used were Mid Shots therefore showing that this technique would be the best. Although I did try to attempt different shots such as close up’s and long shots and this is because I tried to covey hip hop in the best possible way and magazines such as XXL had a range of different shots for example if I used a long shot this would convey the action that the model has power which converts to the Hip Hop/Rap genre. Throughout the pictures that I had taken I did not use flash and this is because I had used natural lighting because the brightness from the lights were already good enough so adding extra light wouldn’t have made the pictures turn out great.

What websites did you use through production?

• Through my production there wasn’t that many websites that were used the more equipment that was used was software’s.

• One of the websites that I had used during production was ‘Dafont’. The reason for me using this website was because this is where I had retrieved my authentic and professional fonts from in order to make the masthead and writing within my magazine rather than me using word art fonts that would not make my magazine look in any way professional so this website was essential to my production of my magazine

• Another website that I had used was used my looking at existing hip hop/rap magazine websites to get inspiration from them. I had done this because rather than me trying to go through the production without any guidelines of what types of information I needed and what my end product needed to look like.

• This was a useful tool that I had used because it had helped me to design my layouts and fonts that I was going use within my music magazine especially with the production of my Double Page Spreadsheet

What production programs have you used ?

• Throughout my production the main program that I had used was Photoshop and without this my final product would not have been able to be constructed. The reason that I had used Photoshop was because this was the best way for me to edit my photos and make them look more presentable. The main editing that I was doing on my photos was getting rid of the background and this was because the backgrounds that were on the original photos taken were odd colours and therefore for this reason I would need to cut the background(magic wand tool) out of the photo using Photoshop to make the colour of the photo the same colour of the background. Another reason why Photoshop was used because it was used to enhance the models face so that it can been more delightful as well as eye catching for the audience rather than them seeing a picture whereas you cannot see the models face therefore making the image pointless rather than bold.

• At first this software was very difficult use because there was many tools to use therefore making it confusing to endure the task that I needed to do but after practice I began to understand the software making it much more easier.

How have I used web forums to showcase my work ?

• There has been different ways that I have used to showcase my music magazine and one of the ways that I had done this was with BlogSpot (danielwindele16.blogspot.com) and the way that this was done because all steps and precautions that I had done was uploaded onto my BlogSpot for people to see my work therefore this was my main way of showcasing my work.

• Another way that I had shared my work was through different software’s such as Prezi, Slideshare, Powtoon and Voice Thread. This is was done because my steps and evaluations were used using these software’s therefore a way of showcasing my work to the public
