MENDO zou MENDO niet zijn als we niet nog de hand hadden weten te leggen op twee nieuwe exemplaren. Tenminste… natuurlijk wel al tien jaar geleden gepubliceerd, maar nieuw in de zin dat de dozen en het boek ongeopend en verzegeld zijn. Het betreft de nummers 9061 en 9063. Nu verkrijgbaar voor € 8.500,00.
Helmut Newton’s legendary book SUMO is no longer for sale anywhere in the world. MENDO would not have been MENDO if it had not been able to get hold of two brand new copies. At least... they were of course printed ten years ago, but they are new in the sense that the boxes and the books have not been opened and are sealed. These are copies number 9061 and 9063. The fashion icon, Vivienne westwood, only had 900 copies of her own book printed. She designed the 9 different covers herself (so there are only 100 copies of each cover). She had them numbered and she personally signed each copy of this really unique fashion book. MENDO still has 2 copies.
