A  Night  At  The  Opera!              Thanks  to  Gene  Orientale  for  arranging  our  annual  outing  to  the    Sarasota  Opera  on  March  24th,  where  everyone  enjoyed      Familiar  music,  beautiful  voices  &  a  wonderful  orchestra  produced  an  enjoyable  visit  to  the  Opera  House.  Many  of  the  group  gathered  for  dinner  downtown  before  the  performance  and  made  it  a  full  evening  of  culture,  cuisine  &    camaraderie!  Gene  is  already  planning  for  next  year!  Hope  you  plan  to  attend!

Convection  oven  purchased  to  replace  burnt  unit  for  Feast    

March  4th-­  Birthday  Celebration  was  attended  by  84  members  who  turned  out  to  sing  to    9  birthday  celebrants  and  shake  hands  with  8  bratwurst,  sauerkraut,  red  cabbage,  delicious  potato  salad  ,  a  little  taste  of  Germany!  Helpers  were  Julia,  Vi,  Justin,  Marino  &  Barbara  Beaudry  (new  member!)  Buon  Compleanno  by  Beatrice,  Bar  by  Bob  H.    The  room  was  fun-­filled  as  everyone  visited  &  chatted!  Chair,  Bruce

March  17th    brought  125    wearing  of  the  green  

Italian  touch  to  the  traditional  Irish  soda  bread  &  corned  beef  &  cabbage  

Peligrino,  Carl  Wilson  &  Patsy  Santaguida.  The  dining  room  was  turned  into    

-­along  featuring  Irish  tunes  with  Broadway  Bruce.  Helper  Leprechauns  were  Bruce,  Barbara  T,  Barbara  M,  Mary  I,  Pat  M  &  all  who  pitched  in  for  bussing  &  clean  up!    Kudos  to  Bruce  &  Joe  for  chairing  this  most  entertaining  event.                      

March  19th-­        at  Epiphany  Cathedral  was  attended  by  about  40  members.  The  Club  presented  the  newly  restored  statue  of  St  Joseph  to  the  church.  Thanks  to    Marino  Roncari  for  doing  the  final  touchups!  

attending  &  they  made  a  very  impressive  sight.  Joe  DiMarco  thanks  all  who  attended  &  especially  those  who  helped  make    the  bread.
