• May directly deposit funds into any regular checking account at one banking institution
• Eligible for membership with the State Employee’s Credit Union (SECU) - www.secumd.org
(May set up a payroll deduction to have funds transferred to SECU account. Only instance where you can have funds going to more than one banking institution.)

Health Benefits Payment Process• Adjunct Faculty are eligible to enroll in state offered
health benefits under the Direct Pay Program. • Direct Pay Enrollees:
• Pay the full cost of selected benefit under “Direct Pay” rates
• Mail premium payments directly to the State of Maryland Employee Benefits Division (EBD) via a coupon booklet sent to your home
• Do not pay premiums via payroll deduction

Long Term Disability• Administered through Unum• An Income Protection Program• Maximum Income Benefit equal to 60% of employee’s
salary up to $8,000 per month• Must choose 90 or 365 day elimination period

either at home or in a facility when assistance with activities of daily living is needed
