DNA is an interior and project management company that has committed to push for sustainable design in Asia Pacic. In order to celebrate and reect their mission, DNA has decided to open a new sustainable studio in Shanghai. Collaborating with MEP engineers with EcoTech International, founded by Rob Watson, founder of LEED and vendors, DNA has achieved LEED - CI platinum, the rst in China.
DNA's studio seats 19 in an open ofce program between the ground oor and mezzanine. It is the tenant’s requirement to maximize natural daylight light to a hundred percent and minimize the use of raw materials by incorporating most of their existing furniture and equipment, thus reducing the impact of landlls.
DNA Shanghai, LEED - CI Platinum
"The design strategy is based upon minimal materials and nishes. However, by showcasing the bold pattern on the oor, the carpet accents the space. The ground level studio used Landscape color Gravel, engineered so that when you look down from the Mezzanine level, you can see a large scale pattern that exemplies the space. For the Mezzanine level, Sculpted Flannel color Chrome was used to create a calmer, soothing environment.

US ProductCase Study 1, 2
Seongnam district in Seoul, has seen its population grow rapidly since the early 1990s and needed a new civic space to expand its administrative capabilities. The new city hall is strategically located to unify Seongnam with the Boondang district, a community at the south edge of the city that is one of the wealthiest and most heavily populated parts of the region. The design is intended to appeal to the new generation of Korea’s environmentally conscious, tech-savvy citizens. The new city hall combines both government and citizen services. Traditionally, council chambers and city halls occupy separate buildings in Korea. Here, the two are joined and placed at the same level to enhance the notion that people and the government should see eye to eye. Most of the building consisted of other ooring materials, except for the executive ofce areas and the auditorium, which used Tandus carpet from the US.

Bridex Exhibition Hall, BruneiBridex Exhibition Hall was built for Brunei International Defence Exhibition, which is the premier defence and security event in South East Asia. Tandus won the project due to our partner’s impressive track record in completing fast track projects. It had to be completed in 7 months, we had to ensure that the carpets arrived in time to meet the tight schedule.
We had in place a team of skilled installers to complete the installation of the broadloom carpets in less than 5 days. It was a job well done as installation was completed ahead of schedule. Our partners and clients were happy to use Tandus Crossley broadloom as they were easy to work with and ensured good seamability.

2009 Tandus Asia’s Business Partner Conference
“First of all, the conference at Goa was the best
chance to know about Tandus, Tandus Products and Tandus Spirit. The world and the future are very interested in environmental topics. And Tandus is obviously focused on environmental-friendly offerings. So that was very impressive.”
Linda ParkCosis International, Korea
“Overall sessions were so invigorating that it was a major catalyst
for change at BuilderSmart. We now run our organization like mini-companies, where we now
have staff exclusively dedicated to looking after specic products. As far as designers are now aware, there is a Tandus carpet division (not BuilderSmart) that sells carpet, in Thailand.”
