Biocompositesarecomposedofabiorenewableresinreinforcedwithnaturalfibers.Thesepromisingmaterialshavethepotentialtobeusedeverywhere,fromtheautomotiveindustrytodrugdeliveryinhumanbonegrafting,andnormallyarethermallycured.Thisultraviolet(UV)-curedapproachreducesproductiontimes,eliminatessolventemissionandallowsforacompletely“green”manufacturingprocessandfinalproduct.

What is “Green Chemistry”?Greenchemistryaimstocreatesustainableandhealth-conscioussolutionsfortoday’sever-increasingtechnologicalneeds.Greenchemistsdevelopsolvent-freeandrenewableproductsthatarelesshazardoustohumanhealthandtheenvironment.Sinceenergyconsumptionisaglobalconcern,greenchemistsalsofocusonprocessesthatuselessenergythanconventionalmeans.

Benefits•Biodegradableandbiorenewable:naturalmaterialswith75%to95%

biorenewablecontent•Environmentallyfriendly:nosolventsreleasedintotheenvironment•Totally“green”:greenchemistryandgreencuringtechnology•Nothermalconsumption:usesthepoweroflight•Increasedmanufacturingspeed=increasedproductivity•Lowermanufacturingcost:cheaperthansyntheticssuchasfiberglass
