It’s OK to judge a pickup by its core. We do. And with a full-length, fully boxed ladder frame,

the NP300 has proven to be one of the toughest pickups on the road. Exceptional angle of

approach allows it to handle roads with a lateral tilt of up to 32.2 degrees, with all components

tucked up under the frame for increased ground clearance. And on- or off-road, you’ll

experience a smooth and comfortable ride from the steel double-wishbone front suspension

and an underslung rigid leaf-spring rear suspension.

The fully boxed ladder frame is made with

high-tensile strength steel in strategic areas for

improved structural rigidity, making it far superior

to the 3-sided open C-shape rails found on other

pickups. This rugged material is also stronger than

conventional steel for increased torsional stiffness

to deliver enhanced performance, on- and off-road.

At your command is a shift-on-the-fly 4WD system that switches between 2WD

and 4WD with the twist of a dial at speeds of up to 100 km/h.

Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control. Tackling hilly

terrain? Now you can do it with more confidence and control.

On an incline, Hill Start Assist can help keep you from rolling

backwards when you’re accelerating from a stop. And

Hill Descent Control helps you maintain steady speed and

braking, so you get back down a steep grade more safely.

part of your drive? The Nissan Safety Shield is a comprehensive

approach to safety that guides the engineering and development of

every vehicle we make. The features described here are just some of

many on your NP300, helping to protect you and yours by focusing

on three key areas: keeping an eye on your vehicle’s systems and the

surroundings, assisting in handling unexpected situations, and helping

to keep you safe in the unfortunate event of an accident.

Zone Body Concept. Nissan’s Zone Body Concept helps

absorb the impact and protect the passenger compartment

during a collision. It features a high-intensity cabin structure

with crossmembers and reinforcements, front and rear

crumple zones, and an energy-absorbing steering column.

SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) dual airbags. SRS dual airbags deploy automatically in the event of

a severe frontal impact to minimize the risk of injury to

the front passenger and driver.

Rear View Monitor. When the shift

lever is shifted into the Reverse position,

the monitor display shows the rear view

to aid in parking and help you avoid

damaging the vehicle.

Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC). VDC monitors your steering

and braking and, if needed, will reduce engine output and apply

brake pressure to specifi c wheels in order to keep you on your

intended path.

Traction Control System (TCS). TCS helps you keep

a better grip on the road. It senses when a drive wheel

starts to slip and reduces engine power or applies brake

pressure to help restore traction.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). ABS helps you

maintain steering control during a panic stop, so you can

still manoeuvre around an obstacle.

Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD). EBD automatically sends extra force to the rear brakes

when it detects there’s additional weight in the back.
