Victory Against All Odds
Sometimes life can be a battle. We feel surrounded and outnumbered. The good news is that we don’t have to be overcome or paralyzed by fear. Vic-tory can be ours just like the courageous men and women who have fol-lowed God and experienced His presence and deliverance. Join us at Oakwood Park each Sunday morning this summer as we journey through the Scriptures in our new sermon series Victory Against All Odds and learn lessons of courage from Bible characters such as Elijah, Joshua, David, Mo-ses and others.
Women’s Bible Study
The ladies are starting a study on Nehemiah on the first Sunday of each month at 6pm in the High School class-room. Please join us for a great time of study and fellow-ship. If you have any questions, contact Jan Shafer.
4th Sunday Fellowship Meal
Please join us Sunday, July 27th for this time of food and fellow-ship after the morning Worship Service. This meal will be “potluck” style with each person or family choosing the dishes
they would like to bring. If you love to cook, go for it! If you don’t, buy some take-out to share or keep it really simple. The idea is for everyone to come and relax, eat, have fun, and get to know each other better. Don’t miss it!
FYI
Pastor David will be unavailable from July 7 - 18 while away attending the North American Christian Convention in Indianapolis and then enjoying a week of vacation time. Please contact one of the Elders with any special needs that may arise during this time period.
Welcome Our Guest Speaker This week we welcome David Nissen back to the pulpit to preach God’s Word in Pastor David’s absence. Thanks for filling in Dave!
