SCHOOLREACH MESSAGING SERVICE – TEXT MESSAGING OPT-IN
October 16, 2013
Dear Parent/Guardian,
As shared earlier this school year, Wai`alae School utilizes SchoolReach, a telephone and email
broadcast system, to notify parents of schoolwide emergencies or urgent situations, and for general
announcements. (If you have provided an email address on your child’s Emergency Card, you should
already be receiving weekly e-mail messages on Wednesdays.)
The SchoolReach service also has the ability to send text messages, as another means of
notifying/contacting parents. However, because fees are normally incurred by the recipient for text-
messaging services, we will only send text messages to parents who provide us with permission and
“opt-in” to this service.
If you would like to receive text messages (through the SchoolReach system), in addition to any phone
message or email message that may be generated by Wai`alae School in the event of an emergency or
school-wide special situation for this school year, please complete the form on the back of this page
and return it to the SPCNC Coordinator mailbox in the Wai`alae School Office no later than Thursday
October 24, 2013. Text messages will not be sent for notification of the Wai`alae Weekly postings and
will be sent only when urgent or emergency notifications are issued by the Wai’alae School
administration.
If you have any questions, please contact me at 733-4883 or via email: [email protected].
