Chinese Warriors of Peking will captivateand enchant with a stunning display ofmartial arts and acrobatics in Musco Center’sintimate, 1,044-seat performance hall. Setduring the Ming Dynasty, this newproduction tells the tale of two rival martialarts disciplines competing in the ancientChinese capital of Peking. Under the directionof Qui Jian, the Shaolin and Wudangperformers demonstrate their exceptionalathleticism through juggling, contortion,traditional weapons handling, live stagecombat, and breathtaking, gravity-defyingfeats. Chinese Warriors of Peking is an
acclaimed martial arts company from The
People’s Republic of China. The companygained international recognition when theiraward-winning “Slack Wire” act was adoptedby Cirque Du Soleil. The group continues togarner attention with this new productionthat takes place on a re-imagined MingDynasty court during the Emperor’s annualmartial arts tournament.

The nightmare-filled world of Knott’s ScaryFarm returns for its 46th season with acompletely transformed park that brings terrorto life as the largest immersive Halloweenexperience in Southern California. Every inchof the park is covered with hidden frights,prowling creatures, spine-chilling scares andterrifying twists. This year guests will comeface-to-face with fear as they brave the park’s14 haunted attractions including mazes andfrightful scare zones, each eager to welcomenew and unsuspecting victims. drapes over an abandoned port village whereancient creatures lurk inside the pitch-blackunderground caves hidden below the seasideshores. The Nightwatch Mining Crew hasmysteriously disappeared and village rumorspoint to the eerie tunnels the town sits upon.Myths of the terrifying horrors that lurk withinthe cave have often been whispered butnever confirmed. Journey into The Depths todiscover if the superstition is true or not. Butbe warned! All who have entered have neverresurfaced.Dark Entities (New for 2018) - Teleport to a
lone station in the depths of space, whosecrew faces terror beyond all imagination. Anextraterrestrial mutation has invaded thestation, and it’s on the prowl for new hosts.The unearthly inhabitants’ force increases asit feeds on its unwilling victims. Escape thedark entities before its deathly force
eliminates all life aboard the station. There’snowhere to escape when time is running out!

Culinary Arts Students turn into sous-chefs for a day
Anaheim GardenWalk to host secondannual chef challenge competition
Anaheim GardenWalk, a unique“eatertainment” destination just steps fromSouthern California’s Disneyland Resort andAnaheim Convention Center, will soon host itssecond annual Chef Challenge cook-off tobe held Sunday, October 14, from 3 p.m. to 5p.m. During the event, sponsored byDiningOut Magazine, top chefs from sevennotable Orange County restaurants willprepare their signature dishes to compete forbest-in-show honors. The public is invited tosample each restaurant’s signature dish freeof charge while supplies last, then vote todecide the winning dish.The chefs will be assisted by local high
school students carefully selected fromculinary arts programs throughout OrangeCounty. The winning restaurant’s chef willtake home a prestigious award as well as aset of professional-grade cutlery, and thestudent assisting that chef will take tophonors among the county’s culinary cohorts.
Additionally, Anaheim GardenWalk willdonate $3,000 to benefit the CaliforniaRestaurant Association Foundation’s (CRAF)high school culinary arts program in OrangeCounty. More than 1,600 Orange Countystudents are currently enrolled in ProStart, aprogram that prepares young people forcareers in culinary arts and hospitalitymanagement. CRAF offers equipment andenrichment services to ProStart students,including field trips, job-readiness training andclassroom speakers.
