Program Purpose
We live in a world full of technology that is always changing and growing.
This makes it hard for older adults to keep up.
Youth today have grown up with technology and are skilled at using it.
We give these youth the opportunity to share what they know with older adults.

They have just recently begun site visits in their community.

I coordinate a group of 4-H youth in the Georgetown/Williamson County area.
We have been hosting technology evenings at the Wesleyan Assisted Living Home twice a month.

Roscoe, TX
Roxanna Reyna works through the Roscoe Collegiate High School to organize our program. This is the largest of our sites and has the unique advantage of being able to meet with youth during school hours on Fridays.
They have begun reaching out into their community as well.

AARP Mentor Up/4-H Tech Wizards STEM Camp
Coming up this weekend, the youth in our program will have the opportunity to come to camp at the Texas 4-H Center in Brownwood.
During the camp they will have lunch with 30 senior adults from the Brownwood area and afterwards they will conduct an iPad training session.
