ORDERING POSTAGE STAMPS FOR RESALE

Due to changes in the Disbursing Office procedures with the Kuali system, the Bookstore can no longer get a check to pick up to purchase postage stamps directly from the local Post Office. A p-card holder will now have to go the Post Office to purchase stamps.

1. Contact your supervisor to inform them that you need to order stamps for resale for your store.

2. Issue a resale PO to the Postmaster from the MBS System for your store. (See sample below)

a. Insert the quantity that you are ordering.b. Be sure to notate “Purchased by P-Card” in the Vendor Message.

3. Send a copy of the PO to the p-card purchaser for them to attach to their p-card log.4. Once you physically receive the stamps, be sure to receive them in the MBS System.5. If you haven’t already received a copy of the receipt, ask the p-card purchaser to send you a

copy of the receipt.6. Attach to the PO:

a. The copy of the receipt,b. The posting journal for the keyrec.

7. Include in your batch to be sent to the Fiscal Office.
