Paint Color Recipes Using Dixie Belle© Paints
It’s fun and easy to create endless palettes of new colors by simply mixing two or more colors together. Hopefully this guide will inspire you to take your creativity to the next level.
I don’t measure the paints when I mix, so you won’t see measurements or percentages. I encourage you to play with the ratio until you create the shade that you want. Be sure to mix enough for your entire project! Better to have a little left over than have to color-match a custom mix.
TIP: Have some picture frames or candlesticks ready for your leftover custom paint color.
If you don’t have the exact shade of one of the colors, try a different shade within the same color family. For example, if you don’t have Rebel Yellow, try one of the other yellows, like Daisy. (And to get even closer, try first lightening the Daisy with one of the whites to get a shade closer to Rebel Yellow.)
Remember, when it comes to creativity, there are no rules.
