Road map of Cellular Standard LET, of which practical use just began in 2009, actualized the potential of demand for
the terminals when the service was started in Verizon in the North America in 2011.
The sales of iPad and iPhone are expected to exceed 100 million units at one stretch in 2012, when Apple starts to reinforce countermeasure against LTE. The practical use of LET-Advanced is expected to start 7 years later in 2016.

The number of main RF Devices/Modules used in iPhone and GALAXY S is shown in the left graph.
Front End Module-oriented Duplexer, BPF, Antenna Switch and PAM were counted double.
As compared with GALAXY S, the number of RF Devices/Modules in iPhone is steadily increasing.
The average number of RF Devices/Modules used in the four series of iPhone is 27, while that in the five series of GALAXY S is 22.
In particular, the numbers of RF Devices/Modules used in UMTS version (i9100, i9300) of GALAXY S II and GALAXY S III, which use MMPAM instead of Inter-stage BPF, are extremely small at 12 and 14, respectively.

The biggest difference between iPhone4 and iPhone4S is that the latter has become RX Diversity-compatible.
