Things an Intern does
• EVERYTHING!• Getting to the office at 7am and leaving at
10pm• Answering phone calls to being a stand in
agent to help client• Helping kids with stock show projects to
helping public with small education courses.
Washing steers
First day• Helping cade wash his
steer in 105 degree heat getting ready for stock show.
Stock show
• Cade’s steer at Heart of Texas livestock show.
• Just got done blow drying and grooming hair.
• Cade placed 4th in his class.
CEUs
• I helped with a bi-county, four week CEU.
• we talked about:– Hay management– Weed control– Wildlife management– Livestock options for
new landowners
4-H Horse show
• Invitational horse show sponsored by Somervell county 4-H
• Participants include youth and adults and Beginners to experts.
CEU and Hay show
• Participants entered hay that was sent off and evaluated for:– Protein content– Carbohydrate content– Hay quality
4-H Meetings
Rabbit clinic
• Set up clinic for students and parents about showing rabbits.
Client visits
• Visited local resident that had fungus issue with peach trees.
Picking up stock show animals • We drove across the
state for these animals…in two different locations.
