MANAGEMENTTRAINING RESEARCH&
the institute At CMTR, we deliver a decisive professional advantage. Driven by groundbreaking research,
rooted in fieldwork, our pedagogy has been designed for success in the shifting dynamics of
a global marketplace.
With a team of experienced faculty, we at CMTR offer a delicate balance between
individuality and teamwork. More than a degree, the CMTR MBA Program carefully
combines the theory, practice and professionalism needed to develop “ready to deploy”
business leaders of the 21st century.
Established in 1997 CMTR has carved out a niche for itself in the field of management
education. From the session 2008, CMTR is affiliated with CAT (Common Admission
Test) conducted by IIMs.
director’s note
apid economic growth and very aggressive technological advancement is bringing Rabout change at an unprecedented rate. Today's knowledge becomes obsolete
tomorrow. The role of education system has therefore, changed from a mere
transfer of knowledge to developing a learning culture among the students. Such a
challenge was not anticipated by educationists even a few years back.
At CMTR, we had recognized right at the time of inception the need for inculcating a
learning habit among our students. The focus was always on learning rather than
teaching. We have made a conscious and sustained effort in developing our faculty to
ensure an excellent delivery of education to our students. The system of education is
slowly maturing to meet the ever changing and demanding needs of industry.
To achieve under tough and difficult circumstances, is a quality, we attempt to infuse
in our students. They are encouraged to work hard and struggle to be independent
thinkers and workers. It is important to lead, yet it is
equally important to follow and be a team player.
With such an emphasis the personality development
program attempts not only to create successful
managers but also excellent human beings with the
right balance of 'head and heart'.
With pride we present to you our ninth batch of ninety
MBAs due to pass out in May/June, 2008. We
invite your esteemed organization for campus
recruitment. We are sure that two years
of hard work by the students and faculty
will measure up to your expectations.

ur team is totally committed to
Oexcellence. There is a difference
between interest and commitment. When
you are interested in doing something, you
do it only when circumstances permit.
When you are committed to something, you
accept no excuses, only results. With this
common commitment, we all share a vision
to see our students give the best every time

As is well known, Summer Placement is an integral part of the MBA Program scheduled between second and third
semesters. It exposes the students to the corporate environment. The organisation also benefits by tapping young and
vibrant human resource to address some of their non routine problems. CMTR students are available for summer
placement from the second/third week of June 2007 for a period of seven to eight weeks. We would appreciate your
support in our educational efforts if you select two to four students for summer training at your esteemed organisation.

Learning has no boundaries
was the first lesson that“was taught to us and that
became a value in my
personality / for me. I realize
the importance of practical
assignments which helped me in
developing skills and
attitudes that are valued in
corporate world. Today I feel
confident and competitive to
meet the challenges of life.”
Ishvinder Singh
Regional Manager
ICICI Prudential AMC
I owe my gratitude to CMTR
for imbibing confidence in “me. It was a very knowledgeable
course wherein I acquired all
management skills & leadership
qualities. The learned and
experienced faculty members
really worked very hard to
sharpen our lives. I cannot
forget the love, affection & the
personal attention I received
here and rate CMTR amongst the
best institutes of this region.”
Swati Joshi
Executive (Exports)
Winsome Yarns Limited
CMTR is the place where a
student gets to understand “how the corporate world is going
to be. The right balance of
academic and industry exposure
prepares a strong foundation.
The guest lectures by some
eminent speakers are really
motivating. The course content
involves a lot of presentations
which help a student to groom. I
am thankful to my institute for
transformation that happened
post M.B.A in me. I would expect
the Institute to carry on the
good work and become better
and better in times to come.”
Vishal Vashisht
Assistant Manager Sales
Bharti Telemedia Ltd.
The two years in CMTR were full of learning and knowledge. It provided me the strength
and confidence to face the challenges of the corporate world. “The encouragement for doing the projects and assignments properly in the institute was of
tremendous help to place me in the competitive environment of today's business. CMTR has
really made a difference in my life. I am very thankful to CMTR for giving a direction to my
career. I wish CMTR grows and produces more successful careers in future.”

CMTR to me is a family, and I
feel blessed by being “associated with it. The inspiring
guidance of the faculty helped
me, build my confidence. The
practical approach of learning
prepared me for the challenging
corporate world. I'll carry the
lessons learnt at CMTR
throughout my life.”
Tanu Bhardwaj,
Online Advertising Manager,
Sebiz Infotech Ltd.
The interactive education
imparted in CMTR has “inculcated immense confidence
in me which helps me deal with
actual business situations quite
effortlessly. Here I was taught to
respect the value of deadlines
and the ability to meet them. It
goes without saying that I was
groomed from a college going
student to a responsible
professional.”
Ravneet Kaur
Senior Product Manager Q2A
When I joined CMTR (1998), I
also had expectations like any “other MBA student. However, I
had never thought I was entering
the best phase of my student life.
Not only did I learn the finer
nuances of management related
fields, but more importantly, was
prepared better to implement
them confidently and successfully
in real life business situations.
And I am elated to share, that IT
HAS HELPED IMMENSELY in my
career till date. Great batch
mates, enterprising faculty,
diligent support staff and above
all, freedom to express, I couldn't
have asked for more. If
management is about decision
making, then I can safely say that
I took the right decision when I
joined CMTR.”
Harpreet Singh, Sales Manager,
Monster.com India Pvt. Ltd.,
Chandigarh.
Best thing about enrolling in CMTR in the year 98 was that it was the very year we as students
and the institute together took a leap into the corporate and business world. After passing out “in 2000 and now eight years down the line I can confidently say that the institute has achieved what
it had set out to do. Not only has it churned out well placed, successful, and quality students year
after year but also has been able to make a leading name for itself in Northern India. All this has
been possible because of the earnestness of the faculty, practicality of education and an aggressive
emphasis on all round development.
Gaurav Vatsyayan, Asst. VP & Head Delhi, UP and Rajasthan, SBI Funds Management Private Limited
For me CMTR is a place which brings out the best in an individual and gives that extra edge to all
those who pass out from here. It has given me very fond memories and a skill set to carve a niche of
my own.”

CORPORATE TRAINING n a competitive environment, driven by market forces, the need to Iconstantly upgrade knowledge and skills can hardly be
overemphasized. Knowledge and managerial skills have created
corporate octopuses with tentacles in every corner of the world.
Each is ready to devour the other, should an opportunity arise. The very
survival depends on the ability to sustain oneself against the onslaught
of competitive forces. Every aspect of business has to be constantly
updated to contain competitive pressures.
With a well equipped infrastructure suitable for executive training,
CMTR can customize and deliver exclusive training programs for any
organization. Programs can be tailored to meet specific requirements of
organizations making a planned change. Such an exercise will require a
careful assessment of training needs. You are welcome to contact the
Director, CMTR, for a dialogue.
