legend that says if all Kingdoms are brought together a legendary
Pokemon will appear for the Warlord. Part 1 of the story is where you
start off but after clearing that you are to clear 32 Side-Stories in
order to continue the Main Story and play the true ending!

[Gameplay & Game Mechanics] [004]
O=====================================================================O
I basically added things off the top of my head here. If you would like
to see more information or information about something I did not cover,
feel free to send me an email and let me know! I'd be glad to fill this
up with as much stuff as I can! :D
O==========O
Gameplay
O==========O
In Pokemon Conquest you play the role of a Warlord destined to take overall kingdoms in Rensei to unite Rensei and call upon the ultimate pokemon.
Gameplay starts off easy, you invade other nations to take over their kingdoms
and call them your own. You command an army of warriors and send them off
to nations to take them over. In battles, you control pokemon in order to
defeat the enemy, with help from warrior abilities.
Warrior abilites can only be used once per battle, so use them wisely.
Actual gameplay is in the form of Strategy Role Playing Games(RPGS) much like
SMT: Devil Survivor. Each pokemon has a set number of spaces they can moveper turn but can be increased or decreased by pokemon attack or abilities.
You can link (capture) pokemon after a certain point in the story and
partner up with multiple pokemon per warrior, each with their own limit.
You can also recruit warriors to join your army and use them and their
pokemon as you wish.
O==============O
Battle modes
O==============O
There are two different game modes in Pokemon Conquest. The most common
battle mode has a simple objective, defeat all enemies before your pokemon
are defeated. The second battle mode is a "Capture the flag" kind of battle
in which both teams fight to capture all flags on the field and defeat all
opposing pokemon. To win in Caprure the flag you must either defeat all
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough
9/265
opponents and capture all the flags or capture all the flags and defend them
for 5 turns in order to win without defeating all the opponents.
O==========O
Kingdoms
O==========O
Kingdoms are the main objective of the game. Once you have conquered a
kingdom by defeating the Warlord in charge of the kingdom you have complete
control over the kingdom and do with is as you wish.
In a kingdom you can enter areas where wild pokemon reside or where warriors
are temporarily traveling. Here you can recruit warriors or link with wild
pokemon. Some kingdoms have unique areas only available to that location that
have special effects you can't find anywhere else.
You can level up areas in kingdoms to make them bigger and atract strong, or
evolved pokemon in some cases, after beating the main story by putting money
inside the banks in the kingdoms.
O==========O
Warriors
O==========O
Warriors are what control pokemon. Each warrior has its own Ability, someunique only to them, that can be used ONCE PER BATTLE.
Each Warrior can create links with a specific number of pokemon, if the
warrior has reached their capacity, they can release a pokemon and replace
them. Warriors can be dismissed by recruiting a new warrior and sending them
to the kingdom with the warrior you want to replace. If the kindom is full
you will be asked if you want to dismiss a warrior, say yes and select which
warrior to dismiss and replace.
The warrior you dismissed will still wander around rensei and will keep ALL
pokemon he/she had when you dismissed the warrior.
So how do recruit Warriors?
To recruit warriors you must accomplish one of the three requirements
Defeat the warrior in 4 turns or earlier
OR
Defeat the warrior with a Super-effective attack
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough
10/265
OR
Defeat the warrior without any of your pokemon taking damage
Death by conditions such as burn or poison DO NOT COUNT!
O==========O
Warlords
O==========O
Warlords control kingdoms or assist in the defense of a kingdom.
Warlords typically have better stats than normal warriors and have the
ability to transform, strenghtening their power even more! They can only
be recruited after their kingdom has been conquered by your army.
They can be recruited by accomplishing the following requirements:
you *MUST* do the following with other Special Warlords, those with
gold backgrounds rather than silver backgrounds.
Defeat the warrior in 4 turns or earlier
OR
Defeat the warrior with a super-effective attack
OR
Defeat the warrior without any of your pokemon taking damage
If the warlord does not land the finishing blow, the Warlord you tried
to recruit will run off! Death by conditions such as burn or poison DO NOT
COUNT!
O===============O
Pokemon Links
O===============O
Link is the "Level" in Conquest. Each pokemon gains a bit of link percentage
afte every battle. The higher the link, the higher the pokemon can grow
and become stronger.
Each pokemon has a certain warrior or warlord they have a PERFECT LINK with.
A perfect link is when the pokemon and the warrior/warlord can link with
each other at 100%, allowing the pokemon to reach its full potential.
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough
11/265
When performing a link with a pokemon you can tell if the pokemon is a
perfect match, or close to perfect in some cases, by the small coin icon
above their head.
A coin with an X over it means the pokemon cannot link with the warrior
No coin with a purple aura means the pokemon can be linked
No coin with no aura means you have already linked with the pokemon
A bronze coin means the pokemon is not a great link with the warrior
a silver coin means the pokemon is a decent link with the warrior
a gold coin means the pokemon is an excellent link with the warrior
Gold Coins: 90-100% Link
Silver Coins: 70-89% Link
Bronze Coins: 50-69% Link
No Coin: 1-49% Link
** Credit goes to Isfan for this next bit of info! **
"While the game gives the impression, and I'm sure had full intention,
of making the Ball-of-Light mini-game to Link with new Pokemon a Rhythm
based game, it's actually not. In rhythm based games, you can only hit
each note once, if you hit it early it cannot be hit again immediately
after when the timing is perfect. However, for this game when we hit the
button when the ball of light reaches the circle outline, the ball does
not disappear. In fact, we can press the A button multiple times per ballof light to improve our Link with the wild Pokemon. You can hit the
A button as early as when the right edge of the Ball of Light first touches
the left edge of the Circle Outline, and I find it rather easy to just
double-tap the A button for each ball of light, filling up my meter twice
as fast."
O==================O
Evolving Pokemon
O==================O
Evolving pokemon is quite different from what you might be used to in Conquest
mostly because level doesn't have much to do with it in most cases.
Some pokemon evolve when a stat reaches a certain point, some pokemon can only
evolve after doing an action in a certain kingdom, other pokemon require
them to carry an item and evolve after completeling an action somewhere.
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough
12/265
Other pokemon require a certain link percentage to evolve.
Some require both a stat and a specific location like Galceon.
Any action such as Mining, Battling, Shopping, etc. count as an action and will
allow your pokemon to evolve.

This battle is somewhat easy, just avoid the lava. I usually tend to just
skip my first turn and let the enemies come to me then ambush them on turn 2.
If you end up moving too far on turn 1 you're leaving yourself open to an
attack from chimchar as he has a long range. Once chimchar gets closer you
can try to ambush him with both Eevee and jigglypuff. Tepig should be your
first target as it goes down faster then Chimchar should be your main focus.
Once you have Chimchar down focus on Bidoof for the easy win. Use the springs
and Oichi's ability to heal up quick!

After conquering Ignis you should train up a bit and recruit some warriors
with fire pokemon to make the next fight in Greenleaf a piece of cake.
-

14/265
Even a single fire pokemon would help! Darumaka has a pretty strong attack so
try and recruit him if you can, a tepig or charmander also helps as well.
If you do end up getting a charmander, try evolving it into a charizard, it
is a pretty good fire-type in the end.

O================O
This battle isn't too tough either as long as you brought some fire pokemon
from Ignis. The grass shrubs in this map teleport you to another shrub if
you stand on it at the end of your move so use those to get across walls
or just move a couple more squares per turn. I split my team up in half and
sent half to get the flag on the bottom right of the map and the other half
to the top right flag, picking up the middle flag along the way. Just make
sure you send at least one fire pokemon to each side if you can.
With fire pokemon this fight doesn't really require much thought but if you
for some reason don't have any fire pokemon just go after Snivy and Pansage
first as their attacks can hit multiple pokemon and Sewaddles tend to do
-

little damage with their bites.
If you manage to knock-out all pokemon before capturing all 3 flags you will
have to go back and capture all flags before you win the fight! Don't forget!
O========================O
Post-battle activities
O========================O
After conquering Greenleaf I recommend recruiting two or three warriors with
grass-type pokemon for the next kingdom to make the next fight just as easy
as this one! Carnivine is a great grass-type pokemon that'll help you out
quite a bit so try getting it if you can, it is pretty OP during the start
of the game until you get access to other grass pokemon. Cottonee is an okay
grass-type as well but it won't do much damage. You could also look intogetting Pansage too since it has the same attack as Carnivine but a bit
weaker.

This battle should be pretty easy with Carnivine but still managable without
it. You'll wanna start by closing up the dams so your pokemon can cross over
the river, just make sure you never stand on the river when there is no water
because if the dam is opened your pokemon gets kicked off and takes damage.
Focus your fire on Oshawott and Piplup if you can then handle the other 2
pokemon to win the battle. It should be pretty easy once you manage to get
all your pokemon across the river.
O========================O
| Post-battle activities |O========================O
You should've recruited a couple of warriors from this fight giving you a
good army of water pokemon. After conquering Fontaine you gain access to
three more kingdoms in the north. The next kingdom we'll be going after
is Violight as it is the weakest of the three. Train up a bit and recruit
some more warriors if you want, we'll mostly be relying on brute force to
take over Violight rather than weaknesses. You could recruit an Onyx if you
want as well to have something that isn't affected by electric types.

O================O
This battle might be a bit tough depending on which pokemon you bring along.
Carnivine is very helpful as it has a strong attack. Avoid staying on the
bottom right corner of the map, the squares with a pink/red outline as Pichu
will step on the top left corner switch and shock the entire bottom right
corner, he only does this once so you should be okay after that. Focus your
attacks on Shinx and Mareep. Then take care of the other 3 smaller pokemon
that should go down pretty quickly.
Remember that you can use the switches to your advantage as well, you can usethem to take down Panpour and Starly since they're weak against electric
attacks.
O========================O
Post-battle activities
O========================O
After this conquering Violight you should have recruited Shoun and his Pichu
so keep him around just because he has pichu! We now have access to electric
type pokemon. The next kingdom on our list is Chrysalia, but you can hold that
off for a while while you capture a couple more pokemon. Try and capture at
least 1 flying-type pokemon before heading into Chrysalia, you'll need at
least 2 for Pugilis. You could also take this time to try to evolve a pokemon
or two if you REALLY want to, maybe charmander? :D

This battle is pretty easy since the enemies don't have attacks that do a ton
of damage. The only thing you gotta watch out for is poison so make the two
Venipedes your priority and hope you dont land on a trap along the way!
Use the ponigiri to your advantage if you can, they help out quite a bit if
you actually manage to get a hit, though you might get hit by them before you
get a chance to hit them. Watch out for the sand traps around the area, you
won't see them at first but after one has been activated the space will turn
into a switch, so you'll at least know where the traps are!

After conquering Chrysalia you've only got one more kingdom to conquer for now
and it should be a piece of cake if you have two or three flying pokemon.
If you've been following the guide this far then you should have at least one,
try and capture another one for the next kingdom battle. You also should have
the option to create links with other pokemon as well! Though I don't
recommend replacing Eevee or jigglypuff as they are the best link for the MC
and Oichi, you can go ahead and replace any other pokemon if you want though.

Once the enemy gets inside the ring ambush them with your flying types.
Everyone but Pansage is a threat here, you can easily get rid of pansage
with a fire type pokemon. Make sure you at least have one flag under your
control throughout the entire battle or you risk losing the game! If you
can manage to ambush one pokemon at a time this battle should be pretty easy.
You could also try and knock down pokemon off the ring and corner them at
the pottom with some of your pokemon to keep them from moving, this does end
up leaving your flags open for other attacks.

After conquering Pugilis you have the choice of either invading Illusio
or Terrera. I will be covering BOTH but I do recommend you invade Terrera
instead because it is WAY easier compared to Illusio, mostly because Illusio
has a very annoying field.
For Illusio, you'll just need some Flying/Bug type pokemon as they do well
against Psychic pokemon, as well as some heavy hitters. Most of their group
is made up of psychic type pokemon, grind your pokemon up a bit if needed
For Terrera, you'll need some Water or and Flying-type pokemon if you
want to have the advantage! Ground helps a bit as well. The field for
Terrera isn't as annoying as Illusio and the Pokemon in Terrera have
weaknesses that can be easier to exploit than they are in Illusio so you
should have an easier time here.
** NOTE **
Make sure you are invading with SIX Pokemon from the SAME Kingdom before
challenging either Kingdom! DO NOT invade from 2 kingdoms as this will
split your group and make it harder to fight back! Read below for more
information!

after the event. These fights should be pretty easy as they are only a
small group rather than a 6 people army and you should have no problem
fighting back, it is a very easy fight. After winning this fight you get
a special...reward!
After that event you now have the option of challenging the Kingdom you

This field is pretty easy. Don't have any of your pokemon climb the
towers until turn 3 because the wind ALWAYS blow after a Pokemon has climbed
up to the top and knocks pokemon off the top and causing them to lose HP.
The two to worry about here are Rhyperior for its strong rock attack
and bur for its annoying dig attack. Rhyperior shouldn't be too
much trouble since he can only use the attack every 2 turns, meaning
you have a good chance of taking it out while its charging, no to
mention its range is 3 spaces away with a Range of 2. It tends to stay
in the back for a bit until the end.
On turn 3 start sending your pokemon up onto towers to take them over.
Keep your heavy hitters on the bottom to take out the small-fry and

out the rest and capture the flags before the turn count ends!

You should at least have Kenshin as a psychic-type so he should make this

them if you can, you can always heal in the springs if you do end up getting
poisoned for some reason.
All the other pokemon don't pose much of a threat if you ambush them. Monferno
can easily be taken down with a water-type. Make sure you at least have oneflag under your control, I kept the flag on the top right under my control at
all times.
Go after Spiritomb as your first target, try and ambush it as quick as
possible because it has an affect that lowers accuracy which can get pretty
annoying! Arbok can easily poison you so make it your next target after
getting rid of spiritomb, or take both of them out at the same time by splitting

This fight could be hard or easy, depending on your pokemon. Though I guess
that could be said with any battle right? Shingen should help make this
fight a bit easier with his rock attack. The only pokemon you really need
to watch out for are Braviary, the rest have nothing we haven't seen yet.
Braviary has an attack similar to dig, it takes your pokemon for a turn and
slams them to the ground on the next turn, you can't attack Braviary while it
is using its attack.
You could go all out in a head on attack or you could wait for them to come
to you, honestly, its easier to just hold back and wait for them to come at
you since they can all just fly over the gaps instead of having to use the
ramps like non-flying pokemon have to use. Set up a good defense and wait for
the enemy to come to you. Take out all the small pokemon to make taking outBraviary easier. Keep Shingen near the back so it can use its rock attack
since he needs to have a pretty big distance for it to land an attack.
Once you have Braviary out of the way the rest of the fight should be pretty
easy with some ambushes. Try and avoid getting poisoned by Golbat, other than
that, you really have nothing to worry about!

These three are somewhat tough, especially the Steel kingdom. Train up

This would be a good time to level up some pokemon and evolve them if you
can, especially Fire/Fighting types. As I said before, start getting ready

You start off the battle split in half. I recommend getting your army
together in the center of the field, try to avoid the cameras if you can,
unless you wanna gamble it and hope it actually moves you closer to the
middle. You can ignore Chimecho and attack when it comes to you as it
shoudl go down pretty easily.
Metagross tends to stick with other pokemon so keep this in mind. Remember
that Metagross will defend and take a teammate's place. Once you take

This can be a tough match if you don't bring the right type of pokemon.
Munna and Musharna are a tough combination so try getting rid of those
two first to avoid getting any of your pokemon put to sleep, just make
sure you keep your distance from Musharna. Musharna might even just stay
on the other side of the field so you could pretty much ignore it if this
is the case.
Wait for the enemy pokemon to make their way over to you and take them out
as they come, don't go sliding across the ice and just let them come to you.
This makes it easy to create a nice welcoming party for the enemy.
Attack Cubchoo and Beartic with your fire type pokemon, just make sure you
don't use physical attacks on beartic or you risk flinching and losing a turn.
Lapras and Sealeo should be a piece of cake with an electric-type. I used
Ginchiyo and her Luxray to take them out but any electric pokemon would
do just fine as long as you can get a couple hits in.

and get ready for post-game quests by linking and evolving as many pokemon as
you can. Evolve Jigglypuff and Eevee if you haven't already. Link with as many
pokemon as you can with early-kingdom warriors from ignis and other kingdoms
around there to make post-game a bit easier too.
If you have been following my guide so far you might remember that I had
recommended you hold off on evolving Eevee. By now Eevee should have about
91 attack, if not go out and train it a bit then come back and perform an
action in Nixtorm to evolve it. Having nixtorm makes the next fight against
Nobunaga a joke, incredibly easy.
Once you're all set, get ready for the final fight!

Head forward as you honestly have little time to spare. The 15 turn
limit can be a pain, especially since the enemies tend to wait at their
spawn until you get closer to them, evil right? Try and avoid as many
Nodes as you can as you make your way towards Nobunaga's army.
Zekrom is obviously the pokemon to be scared of in this fight but he
shouldn't be too tough if you brought a couple of Ice Pokemon.
I had Glaceon during this battle which made this so much easier due to its
type and its high attack. Beartic also helped make this fight a lot easier.
Gabite and Fraxure should go down pretty easily, their attacks aren't too
scary compared to the others so you should be able to clear these two out
quickly.
Simisage can also be taken down with a fire type if you brought one, Ice
types do fine too. It shouldn't pose much of a threat as long as you don't
get within range of it since Leaf Storm can get pretty nasty if it gets you.
Zekrom and Dragonair can both be taken down by your Ice pokemon if you focus
your attacks on one of them at a time, they should go out in 2 or 3 turns.

and link again on turn 3. His attack shouldn't do too much damage.
Once you have linked with Arceus, the real battle begins

All of Nobunaga's warlords are here! You've faced them all before
so you should be familiar with what they do. Lapras and Monferno are
a joke if you brought a water and an electric type. Agron might be a bit
of trouble but you should do fine if you have a fire type and anotherpokemon helping in the fight. Mismagius should be okay as long as you
only go after her with elemental attacks. Lucario goes down after some
flying attacks and help from other pokemon. Rayquaza should be easy
after you've gotten rid of everything else. You have no turn limit here
so you can take you sweet time on this one.
Start of by sending your army towards the center but not all the way,
wait for them to come to you so you can get the first attack.
Make Lucario a priority as Arceus is weak against his attacks, you don't
want to end up losing your legendary to something like that!
Arceus isn't exactly strong so don't rely on him too much. Have your
other pokemon pitch in by attacking the pokemon they have an advantage
over. Attack rayquaza if you can but don't try to be a hero! Rayquaza
does quite a lot of damage!
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough

Once you have everyone else out of the way go for an all out attack
on rayquaza, it should go down fairly quickly if you attack with all
your remaining pokemon. Even if it comes down to just having Arceus,
it does just fine with its attack and ability.

[Side-Stories] [025]
O=====================================================================O
These stories are REQUIRED to continue where the main story left off.
Only after beating ALL these stories will you be able to continue the
main story. Some stories have you randomly start off in a Kingdom while
some stories, like Mitsuhide's or Hideyoshi's will ALWAYS have you starton the same Kingdom. Because of this randomness in stories, some stories
may be hard to provide concrete guides for.
Stories may also vary depending on what army took over what army, during
stories the enemy armies will begin to take each other over, sometimes they
fail and sometimes they succeed. Because of this it may also be hard to
write a solid guide on these stories but I will try my best to write a clean
outline for you to follow.
In most cases, other kingdoms will not invade UNTIL July, year 1 so you do
have a bit of time to build up your army and not have to worry about getting
attacked but you should use this time to take over as many kingdoms as you
can.

Things that pass over from story to story:
Pokemon: Pokemon linked with Warriors and Warlords WILL be saved but
their link percentage will RESET!

BUTTON IN THE MAP MENU AND MAKE SURE EVERY WARRIOR AND POKEMON HAVE A

Money: MONEY WILL NOT BE SAVED!
Area Upgrades: UPGRADES WILL NOT BE SAVED
I suggest starting with the lower star missions and working your wayup as this will help you slowly work up your Gallery and allow you
to link with more pokemon, making future stories easier.

Clear Conditions: Unite all of Rensei
My rating after beating it: **Unlocks:
Nene: Teaching Them a Lesson
Hanbei: The Reluctant Genius
Another story similar to the main story! Unite all nations and bring
peace to Rensei! This is a GREAT story to transform any Warlords you
want and evolve any pokemon you can! Take advantage of this story!
Transforming Hanbei and Kanbei into their 2nd ranks are easier here
because you start off with the two right off the bat!
Start by taking over Greenleaf. You have chimchar so taking them out
should be a piece of cake! You really shouldn't require any pointers
here...Fire vs Grass! How could you lose!?
After this fight I took the oportunity of putting the password for
Pikachu so Hanbei could link with it and form a perfect link!
-
8/12/2019 Pokemon Conquest Walkthrough
39/265
You can do so if you wish, or you can save the password for someone
else but Hanbei is the Warlord who best fits with Pikachu/Raichu.
I used the following month to capture the best Pikachu from the swarm.
I'm trying to get as many perfect links as possible without having to
grind as much. If you get pickachu this early on, the link will be pretty
high near the end.
I also managed to recruit Motnori with Snivy! Another evoltuon and Warlord
transformation! Not bad right? :D
Now that I had Pikachu, I went after Fontain for the type advantage!
It also only contained 4 pokemon so it was the easiest match out of all
the rest. Everything should be pretty easy if you have Snivy and Pikachu
with you, even Snivy is enough to take everything down fairly easily! You
would also have Mareep with you as well.
From now on make sure you use ALL of your warriors for something! Mining
for gold will help you out A LOT later on when you have to upgrade
facilities or anything like that. If you happen to have a Meowth/Perisan
with you, use them for mining! They give a TON of gold! :D
Next up is the lovely kingdom of Aurora! If you've been keeping up you
should have a couple of Warlords with you now. Though were still missing
the perfect link for Kanbei, we can pick it up later in the game.
Your next target should be Oichi! I'm not sure if its possible totransform her without clearing her story but it should be possible...
I hope!
Everything in Aurora is pretty easy as well...really not much of a challange
when you have an army of Warlords and their perfect links! The only annoying
thing about this battle is the Audino that heals every turn and Oichi's Sweet
Song ability that restors HP. Try focusing all your attacks on one Pokemon
so it doesn't end up healing right as its about to die! Don't forget about
Jigglypuff's Lullaby ability either! It could put your Pokemon to sleep!
I took this time to recruit a couple more warriors for mining but you can
go ahead and continue if you wish! or do whatever you feel you need to get
done. I also managed to get someone with a meowth on my team!
Once youre ready to move on, head after Violight! The typical annoying
pokemmon here is Shinx along with Emolga but you should do fine with
-

the pokemon you have. Only Motochika and Oshawott will have a bit of
trouble here but bring him along anyways, you should do fine with a
good group of 5.
After that fight my Chimchar evolved so I got a shiny new pokemon!
I also got attacked by Yoshihiro the next turn and failed to defend
Ignis! My next turn was spent getting it back with one back up team
and used my main group to take over Pugilis for payback!
In the time I've been playing this game I've grown to love Pugilis,
mostly because of how easy it is to win! Go in with your normal army.
Oshawott should shine proud on this fight as well as a couple other
pokemon with range attacks as they can help knock enemy pokemon off
the ring. Don't forget to ring the bell for attack boosts! I was able
to knock most of them off the ring as soon as they captured theirbanners! The fight should be easy as long as you keep knocking people
off and bottlenecking the entrance to the ring as they come back up.
That'll teach them not to mess with me! If you were fast enough you
should've been able to recruit them all! If not, its okay!
By now a couple of armies started taking over kingdoms in the east.
Now our next target is Chrysalia and its army of bug/grass type
Pokemon! It should be pretty easy now that you have Chimchar and
maybe another fire-type pokemon, if not then Chimchar could easily
