For example, it may be reasonable to satisfy the conditions by providing a URI or hyperlink to a resource that includes the required information.
If requested by the Licensor, You must remove any of the information required by Section 3(a)(1)(A) to the extent reasonably practicable. If You Share Adapted Material You produce, the Adapter's License You apply must not prevent recipients of the Adapted Material from complying with this Public License.
Attribution is a legal requirement
The license informs users of what they must do.
The question of how to do this is left open.
The OASPA Principles for Attribution
Principles for Attribution
1. Researchers choosing Open Access and using liberal licenses do so because they wish to maximise access to and re-use of their work.
2. Authors choose Creative Commons licenses in part to ensure attribution and the assignment of credit.
Principles continued
3. The community expects that where modifications have been made to an article that this will be made explicit and every practicable effort will be made to make the nature and scope of modifications explicity.
4. The community assumes, consistent with the terms of the Creative Commons licenses, that unless noted otherwise authors have not endorsed any republication or modification of their original work
