Permanent Magnets
Permanent magnets have changedsignificantly from when the properties oflodestone were first discovered in ancientGreece to the familiar red and black horseshoeshape from school magnetics lessons to thesmall, yet strong rare earth grades of today.Although their use is significant, permanentmagnets are often easily overlooked in bothcommon and high reliability mechanical andelectronic devices. For these reasons, whenmagnets matter, people talk to MMG.
In addition to our soft ferrite and iron powdermaterials, MMG has been a specialist inpermanent magnets for over 25 years. But itis our expertise rather than just products thatmakes MMG special. Our engineering, qualityassurance and customer service is the reason
that we are the choice supplier of customers inindustries as varied as avionics, automotive, advertising, white goods, telecommunicationsand audio. The applications for permanentmagnets are not limited to holding, loudspeakers and decoration, as they are usedin transducers, electric motors and sensingapplications utilizing Hall Effect and ReedSwitches.
MMG has some of the best applicationsengineers in the industry and a customerservice support team dedicated to keep yourproject on track. We offer a wide range ofstandard shapes and sizes, but prefer to workwith customer defined specifications. In shortwe provide solutions, not just magnets.

Flexible Magnets
In either strip, roll or sheet form, flexible ferrite magnetic material fromMMG has become the choice for printing industry for promotionalmaterials, vehicle signage and toys.
Flexible ferrite can be supplied with and without a PVC or adhesivebacking. The PVC backing can be printed on directly therebyeliminating the need for laminating a printable material on the magnetprior to printing. Both our FLEX6 and FLEX11 grades are normallymagnetised on one face for maximum holding power, but can besupplied axially magnetised to special order.
Standard Product Size Range and Backing Options:
Thickness: 0.4 mm to 3.0 mm0.015 in to 0.120 in
Width: 12.5 mm to 610.0 mm0.5 in to 24.0 in
Length: 80 mm to 3000 m3 in to 1000 ft
Backing: Plain, AdhesivePVC
Steel, Zinc
Custom die cutting and PVC colours other than white are also availableupon request.
