Mission Statement
The Jesuit Alumni and Friends of Chicago gathers Jesuit alums and friends for fellowship and inspiration. For 470 years the Society of Jesus has been known for its leadership in the Catholic Church, work in education (founding schools, colleges, universities and seminaries), intellectual research, cultural pursuits, and missionary efforts. Serving in 112 nations on six continents, Jesuits also give retreats, minister in hospitals and parishes and promote social justice and ecumenical dialogue. In the United States, there are 28 universities and 56 high schools. Alumni seek to continue their lives as Men and Women for others and serve Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (To the Greater Glory of God).
