L&T offers EPC services for fixed offshore platforms, sub-sea
pipelines and brownfield modifications for oil companies in GCC,
Iraq, East & North Africa and the Caspian Sea.
Dedicated offices at Abu Dhabi and Al-Khobar address client
requirements for projects in these regions. L&T is establishing
branches in Ashgabat (Turkmenistan) and Tripoli (Libya) to
supplement its offerings to clients in the CIS and North Africa.
Offshore Projects in the above regions are suitably supported by
L&T's state of the art modular fabrication facility at Sohar in Oman
which has an all weather load-out facilities for structures weighing
up to 20,000 MT, and an Engineering Centre for FEED and detail
design at Bengaluru.
L&T is pre-qualified for offshore projects with oil companies in theregion, such as Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company (ADMA-
OPCO), Saudi Aramco, Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), Qatar
Petroleum, Zakum Development Company (ZADCO), Maersk Oil

With three strategically located fabrication yards, L&T is focusing on
fixed platform and onshore LNG projects in South East Asia,
Australia, North Sea and West Africa.
L&T is approved / pre-qualified by E&P majors such as Shell,
ExxonMobil, Chevron, ConocoPhillips, TOTAL, PETRONAS, PTTEP,
Apache, Eni, etc.
L&T is also included under Achilles Joint Qualification System (Vendor
Registration No. 26012) and FPAL (Supplier No. 10051545) as an EPC

L&T's Modular Fabrication Facility at Kattupalli on the east coast of
India offers logistical advantage for projects in South East Asia and

With modular fabrication capacities in excess of 150,000 MT per
annum, L&T can undertake projects involving oil & gas / LNG

L&T's Modular Fabrication Yard (MFY) at Sohar, north Oman is
located in what is termed as the 'gateway to the Gulf', in proximity to
the ports of Muscat and Dubai. It serves the oil-rich Gulf region and
North Africa. The yard is the largest such facility in Oman, with the
attendant advantages of being contiguous with the Sohar Industrial
Port.
L&T MFY is certified to: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and has
the Certificate of Authority to use the API monogram for products
manufactured as per specifications API 5L and API 2B. The yard is also
authorised to use ASME 'U' and 'S' stamps and NBBI's 'R' stamp.
The yard was judged 'Best Offshore Construction Yard' in the GCC at
the Marine International Maritime Awards ceremony in 2011. It also
won a bronze award from the American Society of Safety Engineers
for implementing the best HSE Management System in the
Engineering and Construction category in GCC countries in 2012.
A joint venture with the Zubair Corporation, Oman, L&T MFY iscommitted to the development of local skills and conforms to all local
regulations. A welder-training centre has been set up on the campus.
Trade related training is imparted to the local youth.
L&T MFY at Sohar has an all-weather captive jetty with break water. It
is geared for fabrication and load-out of complex onshore and
offshore modules like integrated process platforms, well head
platforms, large jackets, living quarter modules, compressor and
GTG modules, PAU, PAR, PAM modules, jack-up rigs & LNG modules.
This State-of-the-art module fabrication facility include automatic
plate & pipe profile cutting machines, plate bending machines,
automatic shot-blasting and painting facilities, automatic pipe spool
fabrication facility, plate girder fabrication facility, state of the art
valve test bench, for testing of valves covered warehouses and in-
house testing laboratories. The yard is also equipped with heavy-
duty crawler cranes, Goliath cranes and a range of other materialhandling equipment.

located near Chennai along the East Coast of India . The yard is part of
L&T's sprawling 1200-acre marine complex which lies in a Special

international operations. In select geographies, we have set up joint
ventures and technology partnerships with local companies to
provide effective customer interface and response.
L&T is equipped to meet the global trend towards modularization for
process plants such as LNG liquefaction, oil & gas onshore
processing, modular CCR and other process applications. It has
modular fabrication facilities at Hazira and Kattupalli in India and at
Sohar in Oman.
Engineering capabilities - viz. L&T Chiyoda Limited and in-house
Design & Engineering Centres (L&T Engineering based at Faridabad,
Mumbai and Vadodara) - provide comprehensive engineering
support for L&T's international business in the Hydrocarbon Mid &Downstream segment.
The Company's network of offices now extends to Houston (USA),
London (UK), Perth (Australia) and Johannesburg (South Africa).
These offices are manned by experienced professionals who to
coordinate with international oil & gas majors and process licensors.

GCC Cluster 1: Operating out of United Arab Emirates, we provide
comprehensive services in proposal & estimation, engineering,
procurement, construction and commissioning to the onshore oil &gas field development, refining, petrochemical and fertiliser sectors.

Hydrocarbon Mid & Downstream - International
The range of offerings include Engineering & Procurement (EP),
Engineering Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM),
and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) projects in
Qatar, Oman and UAE.
In Oman, L&T has formed joint venture companies, viz. L&T
Electromech LLC and L&T Modular Fabrication Yard LLC, with the
Zubair Corporation.
GCC Cluster 2: Leveraging on the JV companies set up in Saudi
Arabia and Kuwait for construction and modular fabrication at
Sohar, Oman, GCC Cluster 2 offers comprehensive services like EP,
EPC, EPCM and LSTK projects in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and
Iraq to the onshore oil & gas field development, refining,
petrochemical and fertiliser sectors. L&T also has an office in Al-Khobar with representatives in several other locations.
In Saudi Arabia, L&T has established an in-Kingdom EPC company,
Larsen Toubro Arabia LLC (LTA) in Al Khobar in strategic association
with Al-Jazirah Engineering & Consultants (AJEC), a renowned
engineering consultancy in Saudi Arabia. LTA caters to oil & gas,
refinery, petrochemical and fertiliser EPC projects in the Kingdom.
In South East Asia, L&T's engineers are based in Kuala Lumpur
(Malaysia) , Jakarta (Indonesia) and Singapore. Larsen & Toubro (East
Asia) Sdn. Bhd. (LNTEA) is incorporated in Malaysia as a Bumiputra
Company. LNTEA caters to markets in the South East Asia region and
is registered with the Construction Industry Development Board

for clients such as Petronas, Petronas Carigali, Optimal Glycol,
Kvaerner Petrominco, BASF Petronas Chemicals, etc. The Company
was actively involved in the prestigious MG-3 Lube base oil project
for Petronas, Melaka Refinery, in consortium with Lurgi-Germany
and KQKS-Malaysia as well as successful completion of the Petronas
reformer project.
In Indonesia, L&T is in the process of forming a PMA Company in
Jakarta to enhance its international presence.
Expanding its reach in newer geographies, L&T is also looking for
opportunit ies in CIS and African countries. Turkmenistan and
Azerbaijan are on the immediate radar in CIS. Mozambique, Gabon,
Uganda, Tanzania and Kenya are some of the focus countries in
Africa. A dedicated team focussing on CIS and Africa operates from
the Cluster 3 set-up at Sharjah, UAE.
