The Effects of Case Restriction
• Can cause piston shoes to lift off the swashblock– Maximum case differential pressure varies depending on rpm, it
can be a high as 60 psi for a PVG at 1800 rpm.• Vickers - 7 psi• Rexroth - 7 psi• Parker (PVP) - 5 psi• Denison (P6&7) - 25 psi• Oilgear (PVWH) - 10 psi
– Shoe lift off will cause the shoes to roll, cold work the ball and socket area of the shoe causing the shoe skirt to fail. This will in a short period of time cause a catastrophic pump failure. NO WARRANTY!
