A written recount text A Trip To My Hometown
Yesterday, I went to my hometown by bus. It was a pleasant trip. I was traveling for my own enjoyment.
I woke up early. Then, I went to the bus station at 9.30. The bus was late. It arrived at about 10.00 and we left.
We traveled through the beautiful countryside. The sun was shining brightly at first. After a while, dark clouds appeared in the sky. By the time we arrived at my hometown, it was raining heavily.
I had gone out without a raincoat or an umbrella. Fortunately, an old friend of mine was waiting at the station and he had an umbrella with him.
I went to my parents’ home in my friend’s car. I stayed all day. We talked for a long time.
At 5.00, I returned to the city. This time, I traveled on an express train. It left on time. I arrived in the city on schedule.
The day had passed pleasantly and eventfully. I felt happy. Next weekend, I am going there again
