Constructing a Recount
A recount text usually has three main sections. The first paragraph givesbackground information about who and when called an oriental. This isfollowed by series of paragraph, that retell the events in the order in which
they happened. Some recounts have a concluding paragraph, however, this isnot always necessary

Grammatical of a recount
Recount usually include the following grammaticalfeatures :
Proper nouns : Identify those involved in the text
Descriptive words : Give details about who, what,
when, where and how. The use ofpast tense to retell the events
Words that shows the order of the events(Example; First, next and then )

1. OrientationBefore my father shut his eyes forever, the last sentence
that he said is, “The sunrise is the most beautiful scenery that Iever looked in my life”. I didn’t know was that true or false. I wasvery curious. I really wanted to relieve my curiousity. Therefore, Ichose to spent my semester holiday at the beach.
2. Series of Events ( Event 1 and 2 )
That was the first time I spent my semester holiday at thebeach. So far, the scenery on the beach were not interested. It
was bored, nothing special. I went back to the villa and sleep towait for tomorrow.
I woke up and looked at the clock. Still at 3 o’clock. Iquickly went to the beach. The sun had not appeared. I wasvery upset. I went back to the villa again and read the book.
