Was given the Second Assistant Engineer responsibilities when the Second onboard
left. This included preventive maintenance distribution, keeping up both the fuel oil
transfer log and Oily Record Book, as well as assisting the Chief Engineer troubleshooting
the main diesel engines

Responsible for the lube oil system for the main engines, collecting lube oil samples for
testing, as well as jacket water testing for main engines and emergency diesel engine.
Responsible for the upkeep and testing of the Lifeboat engines (to include weekly start-up,
