KNOXVILLE MARKET HALLThis project serves to eliminate the food desert from downtown Knoxville while also supplying a venue for life’s everyday activities. The Steel Diagrid outer structure both creates a visually stunning facade and allows the interior to be virtually structure free. The airiness of the interior brings the various programs of the markets, classrooms, offices, and scupture yard into a singular atmosphere.

MEDIUM-MEGA SUPERSCAPES: TESSELLATING INVERSIONWhat could the city be in the near or far future?Through spatial analysis of copper, paper, rhino modeling and the city’s various elements, we constructed a collection of maps that guided us from assumptions and data into physical applications (or interjections) of the hidden potentials of Knoxville.

RED BIRD MISSION WATER KIOSKThis two semester-long design-build project will begin construction this march. My design team for the first semester focused in building with minimal material re-sizing and cutting along with modular components that could be constructed on campus and shifted to Red Bird Mission, KY with ease, allowing rapid construction.

RESEARCH STUDIO: [UN]CONTAINEDThe goal of the semester was to work with a local company to research the usability of shipping containers in urban housing. Most of the research went into the exploring the practicality of pre-fabricated paneling vs traditional stick-built. If funded, these schemes could house upwards of 4-person families at a fraction of traditional housing.
