Hypotheses + Future PlansHypothesis: Hybrid’s lack of use is not due to technical shortcomings.
Hypothesis: There are ways to incentivize use of JIDA’s existing app, Hybrid, by capitalizing on host nation cultural values.
Hypothesis: We should not be building a technical solution, instead do organizational consulting.
Next Week:- Continue conversations with organizational theory experts and Special
Forces units to gain cultural insights and develop further incentives for use of HYBRID
- Find clear, actionable structural changes to the workflow of JIDA with HYBRID that we can test further, e.g. gamified incentives
- Product development of technical modifications or wrappers around HYBRID for UI/UX improvement
- Investigate hardware modifications to improve usability. Talk to people at Apple on the MacBook team + Apple Design Studio.

Post-Incident Reporting- Ensuring high volumes of detailed IED reporting data- Host nation forces continue to develop scalable intel reporting
Bridge - bridging the gap between forward deployed technicians and remote technicians IED collection capabilities and analysis
Alignment of Incentives
High-speed intelligence allows for same-day incident analysis
Improved Reporting – a richer data set for JIDA’s analysis
Information sharing and redundancy elimination
Engineers - contractor/DARPA may provide technical insight
EOD Technicians – iterative design process needs more user input
JIDA JET TEAM -Insights regarding deployment of HYBRID
Host Nation Forces - NEED: intel, interest - HOW: Incentivize - SABOTEURS: why help?JIDA- NEED: increased reporting- HOW: incentivizing coalition forces- SABOTEURS: Over-classification, inertia
Team to address reporting problem in place-JIDA would benefit from a white paper outlining potential changes to workflow and implementation-Can meet with vendors, devs, deployment to test + iterate
Primary - JIDA (Matt, Carrie, James)- EOD (Ike, Ethan, Christine, Whitner, especially J2 (Intelligence) and J5 (Strategic Plans and Policy)- Host Nation EOD (Sgt. Bashir)- Other coalition forces (Romania, Georgia, Bulgaria: no contacts)- Other entities such as FBI (Sean) - Palo Alto Police Department
