    RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Research methodology is a way to systematically solve the research

problem. It comprises of the various steps adopted by researcher

along with the logic behind it. According to Hudson, All Progressis

born of inquiry. Doubt is often better then overconfidence, for it leads

to inquiry and leads to invention.

    RESEARCH DESIGN

The major purpose of descriptive research is description of the

state of affairs as they exists at present, Ex post facto research is

quite often used for descriptive research studies. The main

characteristics of this method is that researcher have no control over

the variables, he can only report what has happened or what is

happening Since most Ex. Post facto research project are used for

descriptive studies in which the researcher seeks to measure such

items as for example, frequency of shopping, preference of people,

their experiences, their view etc. therefore keeping in mind the

demand of the work, this study is descriptive in nature.

Preparation of a project report and concluding a research is a

whole process which is carried out in a number of steps. Therefore

through out the whole process of research there are a number of

difficulties encountered by researcher, at every step. In the present

study we may assume following limitation.

    a. Data dont represent entire population behavior

    b. It is very difficult to measure perception by means of

    mathematical calculation

    c. This research was done in Gorakhpur city only hence this

conclusion. In valid only for Gorakhpur.

    d. It was assumed that respondent have the knowledge of the

point in the frontage Reliance Infocomm is determined and intend to

  • 7/31/2019 RIM Report

    70/90

As note of the systems I perfect in itself, there are always weak

points that bounds to crap in, thus instead of ignoring them, we

should try to avoid them in totality in order to achieve the objectives

    of the organization.

Following are the points. I think, that company should further

    consider.

    1. As it is facing treats of competition from VSNL, ESSAR it

should regularly revise its schemes in the interest of the

customers. It will retain the existing customers at the same

time it will help in prospect generation.

    2. The response time of the company is bit late, so it should be

    improved.

    3. Retailers/Sellers should be given proper training so that they

become competent enough and become aware of every

feature present in the product. This will help them to clarify

the queries and doubts that intrude and halt in the minds of

  • 7/31/2019 RIM Report

    71/90

customers. This will help in increasing the sales and at the

same time will uphold the product in the market.

    4. The billing system of Reliance India Mobile must be

improved. The company should by to provide the bill on

    hand set screen.

    5. The coverage of Reliance India Mobile must be expand

    6. Single visit solution should given to the customers as over

and again visiting may cause irritation and rawness which

might have bad effect on the companies good will.

    7. The network system should be made much more efficient

more towers could be placed it they are required.

    8. Advertising not only boost up the sales but also create a

positive impression of the product. So proper advertising

must be done through various medium such as newspapers,

television, Direct Mail, Radio and magazines.

Reliance infocomm is indias largest mobile phone service network

and has been promoted by largest and most profitable organization in

the private sector i.e. Reliance Industries Limited.

The satisfaction level of consumers is evident from the fact that it is

touching the lives of one in every three Indian. According to the

survey I had conducted for the project, in this era of tough and

vigorous competition also 60% of the mobile users are availability the

Reliance infocomm. The competitors are close at hand with many

new and good scheme and offers but still reliance remains the most

    distinguished.

During the survey different reactions and behavior of the customers

were observed and the reasons sought out for a particular behavior.

Views of customers are taken on the Reliance WLL mobile and

overall conclusion is drawn that most people are allured by RTL

because of its services and schemes. Above all it carries a good

are either the subscribers of VSNL& ESSAR are because the

lucrative schemes provided to attract the customers so as to remain

in the market, to might because of consumer dissonance factor or

due to some reference group which have a direct or indirect influence

on the persons attitude or behavior.

Maintaining and upholding once existence in such a brutal and fierce

competition is extremely important. RIL keeps a positive outlook and

is constantly aspiring to provide world class services and serve the

    best.

The standpoint that RIL occupies today will be much more stronger in

the coming years. After all Reliance is the group where

    Reliance infocomm limited

In December 2002, Reliance Infocomm ushered a digital revolution in

India. The company's catch line 'A New Way of Life' reflects the

dream of Reliance Founder-chairman Late Shri Dhirubhai Ambani to

place the power of information and communication in the hands of

common people at an affordable cost.

Reliance Infocomm has created an overarching digital infrastructure

using state-of-the-art technology on the strength of a 60,000 km

terabit capacity optic fibre network linking more than 600 cities and

towns in India. The goal of Reliance Infocomm is to progressively

expand its optic fibre network and eventually cover 116,000 km, with

the ability to seamlessly connect every individual, home, and office in

all 640,000 villages and 2,500 towns and cities of India. Reliance

Infocomm will offer revolutionary data, video and value-added

services in the largest and most complex rollout in the global history

of information technology and communication. The services are being

    launched in three phases.

The first phase will trigger a mobile revolution in the form of Reliance

IndiaMobile services through a nationwide wireless network that will

reach out to 90 per cent of India's population. Eventually, the

communication wave will reach every Indian. This revolution will

enable every individual to talk, shop, bank, transact, entertain and be

    informed, while on the move.

The second phase will usher an enterprise netway revolution by

initially providing 100 mbps Ethernet links to every desktop and

device in half a million enterprise buildings. This will eventually

extend to 10 million buildings. This revolution will empower every

enterprise by making transactions efficient, functions seamless and

    new economic opportunities abundant.

In the third phase, Reliance Infocomm will launch a consume

convergence revolution by providing high speed Ethernet links to 80

million homes initially and eventually to every home. This revolution

will provide every home with a range of television channels, high-

speed telephony, audio conferencing, video conferencing and video

    on demand.

The Reliance India Mobile service has created a new benchmark in

    87/90

customer acquisition in the communications industry by signing up

over one million subscribers in just ten weeks of opening its offer only

    from 111 cities.

Reliance India Mobile has captured nearly 60 per cent of the

incremental post-paid market or 25 per cent of the total postpaid
