“Working alongside Riverside and Bellway, Engage at PRP will implement an open and inclusive engagement approach to the design of the Lambeth Estate masterplan. This will ensure residents, and local stakeholders can be active players in the redevelopment process helping achieve a successful transformation of the community.”

Exhibitions and WorkshopsAn opportunity for individuals to have their say and questions answered. We engaged the residents to understand their issues and needs, and to explain possibilities for change.

Residents turned out to have their say on what the future of the Geoffrey Close estate might look like.
Riverside organised two special events in November 2016 and May 2017, to gather your views on plans to invest millions of pounds to make the area a better place to live.

Exhibitions and WorkshopsCreating a new community: Residents were introduced to the types of buildings which could be used to build the new community (single buildings, courtyard and mansion blocks).
The workshops also introduced a range of design and planning key rules that may affect the arrangement of the new homes (building heights, safe and active streets).
What has happened so far...Exhibitions andWorkshops!
The event was a great success with 80 of you working closely with ENGAGE. Creating ideas of how homes could be laid out, options for open spaces, the provision of community space and how customers could get around the estate.

Feedback, monitoring & evaluationA summary of responses has been made available and participants were given clear feedback on the outcomes.
What has happened so far...
Two consultation events took place in December in the Mo Gorman Community Centre. Residents looked at display boards explaining the project, talked to the Riverside team, and left comments about what matters most to you.
More than 70 people joined us and 44 of you shared written feedback:
What would concern you most about redeveloping the estate?
• How much car parking will be provided. • Other things included moving house and possible
disruption during building work.
What have you told us so far?

Thank you to everyone who joined us – and if you haven’t had a say yet, there will be plenty more opportunities to get involved.
Riverside is working with residents to look at redeveloping the estate so we can:
What needs to be improved?
• Nearly 90% of you feel that safety on the estate must be improved through the new development.
• Over half of you wanted better access for elderly and disabled residents, pedestrians and cyclists and street access.
• Over half of you wanted better connections to the wider area.

Your say on the estate’s future…
Over the last few months we have been working closely with you to get ideas about what the future of the estate might look like. We are planning to invest millions of pounds so we can make the Lambeth estate a better place to live.
This is a big project, so it will take time and we want to keep you involved every step of the way.
Residents offered a range of valuable comments including the following:
The most important issues across the estate were:
• improving estate safety and security; • how parking will work;• re-provision of the community space, the Mo Gorman
Community Centre;• better design of open spaces for all age groups ;• improved design standards within new homes, such
as space, storage, and private balconies;• what residents will be offered;• when will decisions be made and parts of the process
happen;
